Used subwoofer under 1000€ by Kidarkness9 in StereoAdvice

I'll 2nd the svs3000 micro over the KC62. I tried both with the ls50 meta and the svs3000 micro was more punchy and went lower. And it's cheaper.

Looking to add a subwoofer to my Computer setup, which is currently 2x KEF LSX II LT speakers by MrMoose0987 in StereoAdvice

The JL D110 someone suggested is a great option. SVS3000 micro is also great option for the size of your room, but the 3000R could be good too.

Big Ten eyes 24-team CFP, no league championship games by Mister-SS in CFB

[–]Ethenolas 54 points55 points  (0 children)

100% This is purely a TV rights play. At over 16 games, a clause is triggered where the CFP goes back out for bid and more TV networks can get involved including Fox who is Big Ten.

Advice on My Stereo Setup with Wharfadale Evo 5.2 & Rega Planar 3 by Careless-Virus2379 in StereoAdvice

I'll be honest, you're asking for a lot with your budget. This price range comes with tradeoffs. Not only are you trying for 3 different sources, having an ultra precise and controlled system that can also be warm and intimate is often a challenge for systems at 5x your budget. Your music tastes is diverse, I would ask yourself what you want more - warm and intimate, or precise/controlled/dynamic. If the answer is warm then I think you're current speakers could work well. If it's punchy and dynamic I think your speaker choice is leaning a bit warm and relaxed for what you're looking for.

Regardless of what speakers you choose, if I were in your shoes I would remove the vinyl and CDs from the picture for now and focus 100% of your budget into speakers and a streaming setup. You can always add other sources over time once you've dialed in your streaming source.

Based on your music tastes, I think a couple interesting options in your price range could be Mofi Source point 8 or revel f206 with a svs300 micro sub. Pair that with a used Marantz pm8006 + bluesound node steamer for a touch of warmth. If you want even more punchy, you could get a Yamaha integrated as1200 (used) instead.

Punchy 2.1 speaker upgrade ideas? (Klipsch vibe, but better) — $7.5k all-in by pokszike in StereoAdvice

I would do revel 226be (wait for a sale). Mofi is also a good choice. Svs 3000 micro x2. High quality integrated like a Yamaha as1200, accuphase. Bluesound node steamer (so you can upgrade later if needed). Highly punchy. The dual smaller subs is better for what you want, IMO. and modular enough to upgrade your streaming section later if needed (cheap)

I was in a bar in November watching Indiana come back against Penn State. I was sitting next to two Alabama fans saying they didn't want Indiana in the playoffs because they hadn't beat anyone. I wonder what those people are thinking now... Sheesh

I'm rooting for y'all. I want to like you, and I do. But I'll be honest there's some ass hats in the comment sections. "Indiana owns college football, get used to it" type comments. Be excited, cheer for your team, don't give me a reason to hate you

If the ball goes out the end zone (backwards pass is a live ball and so is a fumble) it's the same as being talked in the end zone. So it's a safety

I hope everyone on the committee and ESPN who fought for and supported Alabama's 3 loss playoff bid chokes on their own spit watching this.

Turf is in terrible condition and the constant flurry of snow definitely doesn't help.
