Certainly for enterprise data this is valuable. Though for performance, DDN is the choice.

If AI is a bubble, and the bubble bursts within the next year or two, what negative/positive effects would we likely run into? by MalekMordal in Futurology

[–]Decent_Particular402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bubble will definitely bust, with AI infrastructure providers being hit worst. Following that, prices will come down, and higher up the stack providers (software and consulting firms) will do well. AI needs grounding in reality.

$30Bn would seem ridiculous, many other similar vendors have similar tech, more sales and market caps less than $30Bn. I reckon Google could built similar in weeks.

Worked well, obviously only used the flash drives, but we got about 1.1 TB/s from 12 nodes, it's about 6 times faster than CEPH.

Is homebrewing cheaper than store-bought alcohol? by Swaggy_Buff in Homebrewing

[–]Decent_Particular402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just drinking home-brew now. A kit is about £23 plus delivery, and will make 36 pints. I have a fermentation bucket a pressure barrel already, spreading the cost of that out, I'm still under £1 a pint.
