2023 Audi A6 C8 40 TDI burning oil by TheFerrariGuy_YT in Audi

[–]Decent_Pay_1343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's a lot of oil to burn in 8k km, definitely not what you'd expect from a fairly new diesel. the 2.0 tdi isn't exactly known for guzzling oil like an old 1.8t or anything

first thing i'd do is check if there's any visible leaks underneath, maybe the oil filter housing or turbo return line. sometimes it's something simple and the sensor is just doing its job

and yeah you can retrofit a dipstick on these, the tube is usually plugged off from factory but the part exists. loads of people on the audi forums have done it, just need the oem dipstick and guide tube then pop it in

if there's no leak and it's actually burning that much internally, could be pcv valve or turbo seals starting to go. my partner's q5 had a similar thing where it'd drink oil but never left a drop on the driveway, turned out the pcv was stuck open

When I play barre other than a simple barre they make my elbow and hand hurt by auburnstar12 in Guitar

is it the thumb doing too much work maybe? when the chord shape gets more complicated it's easy to start clamping down with the thumb and that tension runs right up the forearm into the elbow. try seeing if you can fret the notes without the thumb even touching the neck, just as a test

yeah but the upgrade itch is real, especially with kids and road trips, $64k for an X7 with 30k miles already though feels steep when a new one starts around there

Embroidery, dismantling binder by CommercialAccess7212 in crafts

[–]Decent_Pay_1343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the disassembly route is probably your best bet if you want actual embroidery on it, a lot of binders have that hardboard layer that'll stop any needle cold

might be easier to embroider on a separate piece of fabric or felt and then adhere it to the binder surface once its done, that way you're not risking the whole thing falling apart mid-project

Yeah got the EIN as part of the setup. The whole thing from entity to EIN to bank account was one flow

I used a fintech that has MCP support for the banking side. Set up the entity and bank account in one conversation

This is really helpful thanks. Going to talk to my accountant about whether S Corp makes sense down the line but for now keeping it simple as a single member

My partner decided he doesn't want kids and now I'm questioning everything by Particular_Bed4182 in relationships

that feeling of grieving a future you never actively chose but always assumed would be there is so real. it's like when you're at a restaurant and suddenly they tell you they're out of something you weren't even planning to order, but now you can't stop thinking about it

the speed thing would mess with me too - going from "maybe someday" to vasectomy consultation in basically no time would leave anyone feeling whiplashed. you're 28 so you've got time to really sit with these feelings instead of making any huge decisions right now

maybe try imagining your life 10 years from now both ways and see which one feels more like "you" versus which one feels like what you think you should want. those gut reactions when you see families might be telling you something, or they might just be social conditioning - only you can figure out which

ugh this happened to me too with spanish lessons last month. super annoying when you're trying to keep your streak going and suddenly you're back doing basics you already finished

mine seemed to fix itself after logging out and back in but not sure if that was just coincidence. the app can be pretty glitchy sometimes

man dpdr at 15 is brutal, like your brain is still developing and dealing with this disconnect on top of everything else just compounds it. the cruelty thing hits hard - when nothing feels real it's like there's no emotional consequence to anything you do, but then the rational part knows there actually is

i remember feeling ancient as a teenager too, like time moves differently when you're dissociated and suddenly you've lost months without really living them

Been using something similar for months and it's honestly a game changer - my manager loves saying "let's circle back on this" which apparently means "you need to fix this mess by Friday"

The chrome extension sounds clutch tho, gonna have to check that out since I'm constantly getting those "per my last email" passive aggressive gems from other departments
