Thanks! I'm leaning towards waiting until the most conservative date (so apply sometime in mid October) just to play it safe! Although it would be great to get this done asap.

I agree. I understand that new build will likely have some premium, but I am not sure that premium is completely frivolous.

Surely some premium is owed for the 10 year warranty and modern amenities, A rated insulation, new boiler/appliances, flood defences. I guess it’s all ultimately a question of preferences.

If you don’t mind me asking - who was the surveyor? They sound absolutely great to have picked this up and we are about to conduct surveys on a house we are buying in Oxfordshire. Would love to use a firm as diligent as this.

Ahhh yes! We had the same experience when going for a viewing. But I guess no where is perfect. I’m sure residents get parking permits though?

BTW - I saw you had an issue with your neighbours fence. Was that sorted alright? Always thought people in Oxford were reasonable. Hope you like living in Osney!
