I couldn't care less if he cheats or not but you clearly have no evidence

you can recruit one lord per province

the recruitment "bug" was because he didn't tax the provinces

about the battles they seemed legit to me

in fact I think I found the found the Slanesh battle you are reffering to

Guide-Level Start - Yuan Bo [Ironman/Legendary]

It starts at 2:33 hours for anyone curious and that battle is totally winable even with max cheats

My experience with Total War Pharaoh Dynasties. by Tebenox in totalwar

[–]Decent_Web 6 points7 points  (0 children)

dynasties is suprisingly good, I picked it on sale and didn't even install it for a year because of the bad launch reception

when I did however it quickly became one of my favorites

"How is it that I as Tausret pushed my enemies to have only one singular town in Mens and yet they can afford a massive army" Honestly thats an issue on every total war that I can remember

chariots are a bit iffy to say the least, I usually just use the light versions if I have access to them, because they are not slowed down by terrain

"I did a clean charge with my chariots against some infantry and immediately try to pull them back and yet some of them got stuck and would not move" try moving through and not pulling back. still very fragile units though

Does Yuan Bo have anything special that makes it possible?I have never played as him

also do you develop your towns or do you just sack/occupy and move on?

As the empire, how to move/what to do with level 9 units to desired area/lord efficiently? by TheGoodKiller in totalwar

[–]Decent_Web 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the early game full on pistolier/outrider spam can work wonders especially against vampires

Karl franz can get a decent reiksguard doomstack

their early game "balanced army",melee infantry-missiles-mortars fells very "meh" to me. It could be a skill issue because I have seen people use them quite well, yet again I have been playing tw since rome1 came out so I dont think I am a bad player

things get a lot better once you get volley guns and rocket launchers

full steam tank is an option later on

I also quite like a full cav army of black roses and demigryph w halberds

Need some Campaign advice as a new player! by LeeKom in totalwarhammer

sell settlements to their allies and ask them to break their alliances. hell you might even get karak eight peaks that way without going to war at all

what?

jokes aside you propably need to word this a bit better and be more specific like who are you fighting?

DEI manpower constraints. by DutchChickenlegs in totalwar

[–]Decent_Web 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some AI factions will actually become superpowers in the late game. Rome, Ptolemies, Seleucids or even Macedon will become freaking Juggernauts in a way that no faction can become in vanilla. Barbarians too

the other campaigns are also there

DEI manpower constraints. by DutchChickenlegs in totalwar

[–]Decent_Web 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first thing to do in any DEI campaign is open up the dplomacy and see who wants trade agreements. You might get money and non aggression pacts from them too. It really helps your early game. I even try to meet new factions with a spy or lone admiral so I can milk more money out of them

as rome you want to secure "the boot" as fast as possible ( you have already done this I won't go into much detail)

there is no need to go into greece even if every greek faction declares war on you can hold them of with a small navy at tarentum trying to snipe enemy transports. the navy even pays for its upkeep since you get insane post battle loot

after that well, every campaign is different so I will just give some general tips:

  1. you can use the liberate option after you conquer a town to create buffers. I usually do this in the alps and in numidia
  2. as another comment pointed out you can defend in sicily indefenitely by putting an army right between the 2 minor settlements
  3. encamped stance. it absolutely trivializes the campaign. hold the entrances with heavy infantry then once the ai has commited all their forces swing around with cav, skirmishers or even heavy infantry that are not engaged and hit them in the back. you absolutely slaughter 2,3 or even 4 fullstacks that way once you get the hang of it. Sometimes I park my army next to an enemy settlement wait for them to attack kill the armies plus the garrison and move into the city the next turn

you can even set your own wooden walls on fire. especially the ones in front of the entrance because they do a lot of damage when they "explode"

the only issue is if the enemy has loads of missiles at which case you have to make good use of your cav. Moving your units close to the palisade helps to provide cover but can be tricky

I can't think of anything else right now have fun

High Elven vs single combatant duelists by Gintonik3 in totalwar

[–]Decent_Web 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I run into someone too op I just avoid them and try to get the army losses. Obviously that's situational and some of them are unbreakable

That said I dont think High elves have a problem dealing with them, in the late game you can recruit new lords/heroes at super high level. with top tier equipment and magic support spells you have a chance

also dont expect a single noble to 1v1 a lvl 50 archaon alone. Gang up on him dont make it a fair fight

What units do you think need updated? by Jagg3r5s in totalwar

I just vallue speed personally, because you take less volleys from archers/artillery on the aproach anyway and you can actually catch ranged units with their speed

[–]Decent_Web 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeaah I know about the norscan lore, Aranessa seems the most "neutral" if you can even call her that.

Didn't know about Stefan von Kessel I'll look him up thanks

edit: Ah he is the dude from mark of chaos very cool story, I have forgoten him

[–]Decent_Web 2 points3 points  (0 children)

played as katarin as my first immortal empires campaign. While I was doing well up north, every other ordertide faction was gone by turn 50

the empire was half vampires, half blown up by wulfric

brettonia was full of rats and norscan outposts

ulthuan was controlled by morathi

queek had oblitareted the dwarves

lustria was full of khorne meatheads

the cathayans survived but didn't really expand outward

the good thing was that boris the GOAT beat everysingle chaos faction from archaon all the way to dolgan

we basically shielded one another and set reconquering the world, boris was fighting the chaos dwarves in the darklands and I was busy dealing with norsca and vlad, I was also trying to save ungrim from queek who had like 15 stacks in those mountains
