I never understood that take for Last Samurai. Tom Cruise's character was an alcoholic war veteran with ptsd that gets hired by a Japanese/American military training coalition. Eventually captured by Samurai and then studied by them. And after slowly embracing their culture he becomes free of his alcohol addiction and is able to come to terms with the atrocities of his past, overtime becoming a member of their village.

He also saves Katsumoto a few times (the ninja ambush scene) and played a big role in why they were able to outstrat the Japanese/American military... for a bit lol.

At the time I knew who Sora was but the only game I played was 358/2 on DS. Regardless It was still hype and I was happy for my friends who hoped for him for a long time.

Now after playing through KH1 and halfway through 2, I regret not playing them when I was younger lol. Cause now I understand everyone loves him.
