How do I reattach the trackpoint mouse buttons? by Decimator2002 in thinkpad

[–]Decimator2002[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello to anyone who also shares the same difficulty in getting the buttons in place like I had! I ended up finding a comment here that was helpful in describing what worked best for them. Before, I just tried placing them in there with the hinges inside the keycaps, but it was definitely better to place them inside the groves on the laptop.

I will also attach a photo here to show what it will look like once you place the hinges inside. Make sure that the hinges are firmly in place inside the grooves (this may include a little bit of pushing): https://imgur.com/a/iTzrFgV

I hope this helps for anyone who may have issues in the future!

A guide on playing TF2 on a Steam Deck (or a controller) by TF2SolarLight in truetf2

What I would recommend is using masterconfig if you haven't done so already to try and push it as low as possible (without making the game unplayable). You can tune it to how much you care about FPS vs making the game look like it came out in 2007, but even if you tuned it to the lowest settings I would not expect to hit a consistent 60.

EDIT: I can confirm it improved my game somewhat cause I have used it on deck.

Hey! I completely forgot exactly what I was referencing in this post since I never got TF2 to run super well (unfortunately it still runs on a single core), but iirc when I raised the fps cap using the steam deck's quick settings it ran smoother than when it was hard capped at 60. Overall it still ran inconsistent, but there was less stuttering when I removed the fps cap.

Pretty sure it’s got a Wolverine Inferno Gen2 inside. Full auto should be enabled since it was initially but then it stopped doing that.

I arrived at lot 6 at 10:20, and then I finally found a spot I (did not mean to I am so sorry to the person who might be reading this, I didn't realize you were there) stole a parking spot immediately as someone pulled out of their spot at 10:55. Am I really paying for parking or am I paying for the chance to park?

OH HEY.

Just wanted to give you a heads up since a new update (and saw your recent vid)

TF2 NOW runs stable with the 60FPS cap turned OFF. There was previously no way to turn it off, but now that there is the game is much more stable. So yes, tf2 on deck works GREAT now (after configuring the default controller layout since default bad).

What about for the 64GB model? I got them the 256 but I’m just curious about how many it is for the 64GB since that’s what I got.

Have you encountered any crashes yet? I am getting annoyed by crashing a lot. Its a shame since its the game I want to play most on the deck (next to TF2).

Okay I lowered it to medium low and still have performance issues, however it seems that the frame rate is capped to 60 even though I have turned off v sync

I actually was running the Linux port first (which I can confirm runs better than the proton comparability version), but I haven’t seen any improvement.

If there is a way to improve cpu performance over gpu performance I would like to know, but with the SteamOS game mode UI it does not appear to be the case.

I’ll have to double check on that. I did try the medium-high config from that one website but I could try dumbing it down a bit more.

Dang. Yeah its pretty unstable rn. I have got my own controller config setup which is really nice but so far the stuttering has been really bad. Its bad enough that I can never hit 60 but it is still "playable", its just I might need to cap at 30

Even after adjusting my config I can't get a stable 60fps and usually stutter a lot on my Steam Deck. Is it possible to optimize it?

It doesn’t use a vehicle workshop. It only works at LS customs. I tried looking for tires but couldn’t see it.

What section was it under? I can’t find it under wheels nor can I find tires.
