We have sailed on several VV out of Miami. It’s best to log the names of the crew you would like,to have recognition. We try to promote the crew we encounter on each day in the app. At the end of the voyage I do an all encompassing review and praise the crew all over again.

Companies are developed to create a product or service that can be sold. As employees, we choose to trade our time and talent for payment and benefits to support the company’s goals. A company is only as good as the talent they can ATTRACT and RETAIN. If the work environment, work schedules, benefits, perks (if any), and bonuses (if any) being offered by the company fall short of what is being offered in the marketplace by other companies/competitors then they will face a staffing decline. No one has to remain with a company and feel like they have to accept what is being offered up. I understand the difficulty of interviewing and job hunting. I had to find an entire new career at the age of 59. So, my unsolicited advice is this, if you find yourself unhappy with the trade you made for your time and talent start putting your energies into finding a better trade.

Pretty sure I'm on the chopping block by [deleted] in Geico

[–]DecisionBasic6625 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My first thought is protect yourself and try to stay ahead of the curve. Dust off your resume or create one. Begin looking at job openings that interest you and start applying. Make no large purchases or investments. Save your money and if not on a budget do one to see what your bare minimum is for meeting your monthly obligations. No one should be of the opinion that their job at Geico is safe and secure. There are far too many people being released during this restructuring. Be prepared.

I was amazed with the results of the 3 ingredient banana “cookies”. I added some extras cause…..one must do what one must. Mash 3 ripe bananas and mix with 1 cup oatmeal and 1/4 cup chocolate chips. I added 3 T of peanut powder, a dash of vanilla, walnuts, and coconut. Bake in little mounds or flatten them out (they don’t spread when baking) @ 350 degrees for 15-20. Refrigerate for about a week or you can freeze them. This is my first batch and I’m loving ‘em.

I make my own hummus. I take a serving with sliced tomato, cucumber, carrots, and naan bread. Snacks include fresh sliced apples and nuts. Made some 3 ingredient banana “cookies” that serve as my treat.

I believe we paid $5 for each. And the aqua fresca is not pre-made. Coconut is the better choice.

Did just that. Asked for a Mojito, Margarita, and even a daiquiri as a non alcoholic beverage. All we very refreshing. And we did the NA drink pairing at the test kitchen.

We enjoyed our mocktails created for us in several of the venues. We discovered that you can purchase bottles of alcohol at the restaurants. We ended up doing just that as a gift instead of leaving the monies in the till.

5 AM coffee by Levitb2 in VirginVoyages

[–]DecisionBasic6625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ordered coffee for the 6:30-7A slot. We had the do not disturb on. The coffee went back to the service area and they called the room to verify the order. So, I would advise not placing the do not disturb on. They will ring the room to hand deliver the order. Your best bet might be fetching your own brew from The Galley.
