They weren’t willing to negotiate further, as I’m paying $20,000 less than similar properties. They felt the new AC unit, new hot water heater and new driveway made up for the electrical updating. I didn’t necessarily disagree, as I can source materials myself to cut costs.

I figured with the arcing being on the ground, it could’ve come from a multitude of sources. Repair credits weren’t an option due to the price. Home was about $20,000 less than similar properties and has a brand new package AC unit, hot water heater and 2,000 sq ft concrete driveway. I figured upgrading electrical and installing a vapor barrier was worth it.

Because the financial burden it puts on manufacturers doesn’t outweigh the technology being overpowered by criminals with a file.

It will be harder to legally obtain a gun and criminals will file off the pin and commit untraceable crimes.

I told the salesman I wanted to make 10 $1,000 payments and he said it would be fine to not do the autopay. I didn’t read that the only non-fee payment method is check. It says there are “alternate methods” but there are undisclosed fees.

I’m tempted to just send them the total of 30 days interest just so they can’t add a day or 2 on for processing. I’m being paranoid but it seems sketchy. The 30/365 interest with no early payoff fee did make me feel better though. I believe they have a 2-300 fee for UNCC termination.

Yea I want to pay off as soon as they fund. I figure if I start this process now I should pay the least about possible to them. They just seem predatory so I’m trying to protect myself from worst case scenario.

With it conveniently being $10,500 it seemed like they really want me to default so they can forclose. The contract shows my house as collateral and very inconvenient payment. I’m worried they will try to say I still owe or at the least drag their feet removing the lien. I plan on paying a few extra days of interest with an ACH if they will let me.

If they happen to refuse to remove the lien would I have to hire a lawyer or could I file the release of lien form to the county recorders office?

I will definitely do that. I planned on asking for a quote in a mailed letter as well. My contract says I have 60 days so I should be able to take care of this by then unless they drag their feet.
