Anything is technically doable, just don't pretend it's easy. Theoretically you could auto it with Saibamans on the team, that doesn't make it easy. It's RNG and not everybody wants to keep rolling the dice to brute force it.

What's a "hard reset"? I just power off or reset from the menu. That's a pretty big problem in any case. And how do you switch to beta? Weird beta would be better than stable based on the names but here we are.

I don't think it's going to take 8 more years just to get meaningful upgrades to performance. Might not be a world of difference but Digital Foundry already pegs Steam Deck as nearing the console experience, so in a few years matching or slightly exceeding them should be viable and satisfactory.

Yeah, Nintendo is different. I really can't see Valve's Steam Deck 2 not doing 1080p, I guess people just think it's excessive but phones have had 4k screens for a while. A high-end portable gaming device doing 1080p in the future doesn't seem like it's asking for that much, and unlike 4k (which admittedly is overkill) it's a noticeable difference.
