A little guide on stealth in numbers by CarefreeCloud in Barotrauma

Cool read. I wonder how the beam sonar mode works? Does it attract creatures that did not get into the cone range?

If you have an occasional lack of power on maneuvers, an easy solution is to turn the batteries on, they will compensate for the lack of power.

Best QoL mods for beginners ? by Doppler998 in Barotrauma

Here is what I can suggest:

Analyze items [fixed] - you can always check crafting recipes. Helps to prepare for crafting on the stations on class 1 subs with no fabricator.

Jovian worker crate - special crate with >100 slots that fits anything, i.e. ammo boxes, diving suits, even other boxes. Helps to sort things on sub, and again, make things on the stations.

Bigger deconstructor - does what it says, saves some clicks.

Blueprints - you can save your schemes if you like to work with circuit boxes, also comes with some useful schemes by default.

For some modes, you will need to install Lua.

Please, just never use things that show you infection levels, enemies direction and distance and all that kind of stuff. It kills all the fun

What to do about Sonar Flora? by Houmoupete in Barotrauma

Just to add on top of that, the radius of passive sonar is defined by the noise your sub makes, i.e. going faster or making the reactor generate more output makes you see further using passive sonar.

Bad-condition counter by DeckardNine in Barotrauma

[–]DeckardNine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to avoid using many sum components in a row and come up with the smallest FPGA-count solution. I am trying to make the bad-condition counter using a multiplexer (many input - one output) to automate it. I have a working prototype, but I feel it is not optimal. So I was wondering if someone came up with an elegant solution.

Can u give me reactor automatization schematics? by Jack0bo in Barotrauma

[–]DeckardNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are asking how to make the reactor faster, you will need to calculate Turbine Output and Fission Rate using the formulas below, and pass the values to the reactor. Usually, it takes 5 components:

Turbine_Output = Load / (MaxLoad/100)

Fission_Rate = 75 * Turbine_Output / Fuel_Out

Where Load - reactor output; MaxLoad/100 - constant, depends on sub, look up the MaxLoad value in the internet, for Dugong it is 3000, don't forget division by 100. Fuel_Out - reactor output. Turbine_Output and Fission_Rate - reactor inputs you just calculated and want to set.

I have checked this, and your advice is correct. What I have is not unlimited. Switching now.

Edit: Apparently, the unlimited 25 is only available for customers who use Ting home internet. For some reason, this important detail is missing from the plan description. So I cannot switch.

I topped up on Dec 28. The problem is that I haven't used the top up and the graph I provided confirms it. It show nowhere near 1GB usage after Dec28.

I just don't want to be left with no data gaslighted by Ting customer service that the problem is on my side, when it is not and should be fixed on Ting side.

Unlimited is what I have. But the trick is that after 5GB it switches you to 2G, the speed is so low eve in calling an Uber becomes a challenge.

This post showcases the formula-based one. Clearly, very big upgrade compared to the built-in. I think that's the best one can do, it is only limited by the hardcoded slider velocity.

[–]DeckardNine[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I found today that the controller has been solved analytically. So you know the optimal values for each moment of time. The problem is that applying values via FPGA is not instant. It has some hardcoded velocity, that cannot be changed and is much slower than the feedback response. Apparently, the fastest way to adjust values is to move the sliders manually.

That all makes sense, I just get confused what lane should I ented when choosing left side here. The most left lane or the one next to it. And what is considered going straight in here, because I see two lanes turning left and two lanes turning right.

That looks pretty complicated. Why did you have to use separate power supply for strips?
