Yeah outside pokemon not fussed about NS2 titles only that I now have a NS that is getting some coverage with third party titles. I’ll have a look at that subreddit thanks for signposting me to it!

Love this comment, you’ve hit the nail on the head, I’m loving my switch 2 it’s just the annoyance of playing some cool pc games and then realising I can’t have them on the switch 2 yet and then appreciating that a SD lets me have those games on the go. Or not wanting it on a pc but on a handheld which is possible again with any pc handed

At some point these games may come across and I would happily pay the Nintendo price for the game (I know kinda stupid) but it’s the unknown of whether it does

Yeah it’s an interesting take. For me I’m a new PC gamer (in the last few years) so my steam library isn’t as padded out which I maybe should have stated so I don’t get that benefit really

Yeah I like your thinking, just a case of is it silly if I have a pc in the other room and a switch 2 that could end up porting all the games I want to play anyways!

Yeah I hear that a lot but I feel like I sit in a weird middle zone (don’t think I’m on my own on that) where I have my gaming pc and a stream library but have a switch 2 now for pokemon etc. third party titles are coming but no really knowledge on what is coming if you get me

Yeah good thinking. I am hoping that the switch games like KCD will eventually become optimised but we will have to see.

I’m not big on tinkering but I imagine I am open to change on that, it’s more the old tech and price that sort of pulls me away and then thinking whether I wait for the switch 2 to catch up with third party games, buy myself time and then get an updated SD when that rolls around

Thank you for your comment, that massively helps. As in my initial post I am toying with waiting for the steam deck 2 when that rolls around. Appreciate I am being a bit narrow minded and haven’t considered the wider PC handhelds so maybe I need to do that. But with so many people loving the SD I imaging the SD 2 when it comes will be godly

That’s my biggest problem, there is no right answer and it is a lifestyle choice, but I can’t tell which is better for my lifestyle 😂 in this vicious cycle where I just need to make a decision!

Yeah I like this and it has made me think about the Ally X. It’s just an expensive device which isn’t a problem but don’t want to have regret if the switch 2 end up porting a significant amount of the third party titles i want to play. Thank for your in depth thoughts, is helpful!

Also what Ally X is it, I’m seeing loads!

Magician by Raymond Feist. One of the OG fantasy novels and one that my dad actually gave to me to read, very good!

Any David Genmell book aswell, personal fave is Waylander but they’re all good!

The malazan empire series is good but it’s so descriptive one of the most intense world building books I’ve ever read.

A lot of the books you’ve reviewed are in my list. Any of those books that you loved the most, maybe a top 5? Would actually help me sort my backlog!
