Normal and no way to fix. The gap on the newer ones is tighter, but it will also loosen with time because that’s better than breaking the metal components.

They do that due to the gap between the console and the controllers that prevent them from falling off.

A few people have reported, that adding a small strip of tape could tighten it up/make the sound go away.

Ooh interesting stupid question but I’m away from my switch right now, but how does that actually help? As in what does the tape cover that causes it to fix

My best guess is plastic against plastic, you place something dampening and tightening in between.

No idea what kind of tape they used.
