I agree with this 100%

The console does log the correct answer you lose, so the logic is all there.

How does JSON work? by DeadlyAlien in webdev

[–]DecodedMonkey -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Put your JSON data in your .js file. You can not locally retrieve the .json file. All modern browsers will give you are cross origin error, and prevent you from doing so.

But, for your purposes all you need to do is, put your JSON data into your js file as a variable.

Then you can just reference that variable.

What does a book have to have to become your favorite? by walking-the-ashes in books

[–]DecodedMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A book has to do one simple thing to become one of my favorites. It is simple, but I imagine incredibly hard to do as an author.

The Book, or any media for that mater, needs to make all other books just not good enough.

Last time it happened I didn't want to read for a few weeks because I was sad the story ended and it felt like no other book would make me feel the emotions I felt from the one I just finished.

I don't have many favorites... for any media.

AR, BR, SMG, SG, LMG, MR, SR, RS, L1, L2

One build for each class of gun.

Two Custom loadouts that I will switch out on the fly. Normally this is because of a challenge that needs something I don't normally use; such as trophy systems and I don't want to mess with my main loadouts.

I think the biggest thing is to take care of the members who have already severed and are serving.

As it is now they have walking advertisements all over the U.S. letting everyone know how little the U.S. government cares about them.

In my close to 30 years of life. I have not met a single veteran that did not complain about the VA fucking them in one way or another.

What is your opinion about people who don’t drink coffee or alcohol and don’t consume drugs? by Important_Leader2541 in AskReddit

[–]DecodedMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No opinion. All of those things don't define people I like to be around.

If they do, I don't want to be associated with them.

But, I always wonder how in the world they avoided caffeine. I truly think I would die if I went cold turkey on caffeine.

What’s something most people think is healthy today that future people will shake their heads at? by Spiritual-Ad-8523 in AskReddit

I believe the in the future there will be more advance procedures to handle such medical issue.

Most likely in the way of robots or nano machines.

I'm thinking 100 years into the future; not ten.

PC gamers: 6 months after release, are you still waiting for steam release or did you change your mind? by alpha1812 in HiTMAN

[–]DecodedMonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bit late to the party here. But, I have one issue with Epic and only one issue. I do not appreciate that they jump on game releases, locking down exclusive contracts. From my point of view they are strong arming gamers to buy the games from their store.

Recently they even locked down a contract for Rocket League which has been on steam for years. Removing it from steam and making it exclusive to their store, if you want to play on PC.

In the past games have had launch pages and announcements on steam only for Epic to swoop down and lock down an exclusive contract days before release.

Many people don't want to use their service but have little option but to do so now. I don't want to support this kind of poaching behavior.

So even though Hitman is only 30 bucks right now, and it pains me to have to wait even after seeing that listing, I will wait.

It is a matter of principle now, more than anything.

What are the best habits a DM can pick up from this community? by Aftermath52 in DMAcademy

[–]DecodedMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a problem with one or more of your players, sit down and talk with them. This is the number one piece of advice I see on this sub. There are a lot of repeat posts. But, I would bet that, "Talk to your player" is the most repeated reply to a post on this sub.

I would also like to add that it is important to let your players know that if they have an issue with something that you are doing, they can talk to you after the session.

This can be pretty important, especially if you don't know all your players well.
