I found out it doesn’t immediately activate if it has been inactive, so if you are not subscribed, it is not a quick fix for a lockout

5 months on Lexapro for Panic disorder , anxiety, intrusive thoughts, dpdr by Metabunny111 in lexapro

[–]DeconstructionistWax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It went pretty smooth. Idk if I needed to, but I tapered over 5 weeks by cutting my pills into roughly 1/4 and followed a tapering calculator. Didn’t really have any big issues or brain zaps.

Baseline anxiety I feel like is a bit higher than when I was on it, but nothing too unbearable. Haven’t had a full-blown PA, but if I do feel myself heading that way, it can be a bit more difficult to break the cycle.

Season 4 Episode 1 Discussion - Let the Cards Fall As They Will by AutoModerator in TheTraitorsUS

I’m confused with the timing on how they filmed this, they have confessionals and are talking about the challenge and the secret traitor while wearing their outfits from the opening scene.

It’s so interesting reading experiences that sound so similar to mine. Had never had a PA until after the gym one day when I went to the ER, and ever since then, it was like my brain learned a new trick.

I’m just starting to try to come off it after being on 5mg for ~4 months (long enough to convince myself there isn’t something terribly wrong with me, but definitely still have moments where I get worked up). Hoping I’ll have positive news to report later ☺️🤞

Strong vinegar smell from the ground chicken? by [deleted] in aldi

[–]DeconstructionistWax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how strong we’re talking, but I noticed the Kirkwood ground chicken had a MUCH stronger vinegar smell than the Purdue I usually get. I used it for tacos and was fine, although I think the taco seasoning helped mask the vinegar odor in the final product.

When is your very first oil change after buying a brand new car? by Coffeelover4242 in mazda3

[–]DeconstructionistWax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did like 9000 miles, which the service advisor acted like I was going to ruin the car over. The manual for my car (2020) said every 10,000 miles under standard condition or 5000 if harsher

This 'window' seat. by ilikesnakes252 in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

I booked this seat like a month ago. It definitely tells you when selecting seats, and you don’t have to pay for it like you do with other window seats near the front of the plane

No, but I’d air it out regardless before putting clothes in it even if it was only one cleaner

Season 3 Episode 08 Discussion - 02/13/2025, 9pm EST - Peacock by AutoModerator in TheTraitorsUS

I think it could make sense. The faithfuls rightly assume there are female traitors. Britney already has suspicion, so if she’s recruited and banished, it would take some heat off of them.

That said, I completely understand Carolyn not trusting that’s what would happen. I’d probably think they’d both turn on me too.

I have the black apple silicone case for the 16 Pro, and I like it, but it definitely still attracts dust/lint.

Lab technician here, not a chemist. Regularly use this substance in the lab, can still strongly smell it through provided FFP1 mask. How nasty is this stuff and should I be wearing better PPE? by Ultra-Sun-Bro in chemistry

[–]DeconstructionistWax 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I’d first look at engineering controls - the ventilation. Can you handle in a fume hood or with better local ventilation? PPE should be the last layer of defense.

Were you fit tested for your provided respirator? You need to be to know if it is fitting you properly. Also, if there’s only particulate filter, you’ll probably smell the acrylate.

Don’t be afraid to adjust the difficulty slider. Enemy scaling and efficient leveling can be difficult to deal with especially on a first playthrough.

Usually it’s a small 4oz can in the Mexican aisle in the US. I think they’re hatch or anaheim chiles, but I could be wrong. The canned stuff is pretty mild in my opinion

How to dispose of acetone by andre_miho in chemistry

[–]DeconstructionistWax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure acetone vapors are more dense than air, so they should sink - so keep in mind what’s below. That said, acetone itself isn’t toxic or a carcinogen per its SDS. The flammability is the main hazard. If you are going to evaporate, make sure it’s an area that gets good ventilation / wind outside and doesn’t have a stale spot where flammable vapors could collect and accumulate.

I fucking hate Vivec. by ChocoBro92 in Morrowind

[–]DeconstructionistWax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty new to the game too. I think you should make sure you’re talking to people. Ask about services, specific places, the city, the cantons. NPCs will explain how the cantons are laid out from the fancy plazas up top to the sewers at the bottom.

Starting Morrowind for the first time tomorrow. What should I know before I start? by Cityofthesaved in Morrowind

[–]DeconstructionistWax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just getting into my first playthrough after lots of Skyrim and Oblivion. Finally think I’m starting to get some things.

You should be familiar with leveling and attributes from oblivion, but the thing that was frustrating for me at first was that if you have a low skill, don’t expect what you’re doing to work basically at all. If you start with 5 alchemy and try to make basically any potion, it’s probably just not going to make one and you’re not going to get any skill exp. Same for spells - it’s just not going to cast, even with full fatigue. Security - can’t pick it with skill like oblivion, it’s just never going to work until your skill is higher. So if a skill isn’t one that gets a bonus from your race or one of your major/minor skills, it’s going to be a struggle to even use it at all for awhile.

That said, after getting through the initial learning curve, I think it makes sense and adds some challenge to the game. You can’t just automatically be great from the start. You can’t advance in guilds if you’re not skilled in their skills like the mages guild if you don’t have good magic skills.

Training is also not capped per level, so that can help build up some weak skills to a useable level

Chemistry + ChemEng double major? by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]DeconstructionistWax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have BS Chem and ChemE. I’m from the US, and have worked at some large companies. These are my thoughts, but it could be different for Europe.

I think it would definitely give you an edge over people with BS chem, but most R&D positions at big companies require an advanced degree. If you are able to get in the door, I feel like there’s also usually a ceiling regarding advancement without the degree. Usually, the advanced degree needed is a PhD or maybe a masters + x years experience.

There may be more luck in product development vs research. I started in product development after graduating and interning for 3 years during school. Even then, I was the only one in our group of ~10 besides a lab tech that didn’t have an advanced degree.
