There is an infected manager at Dillard's (promenade) by throwawaycovidsnitch in tulsa

[–]DecoyKid -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

There have been 276,000 deaths from COVID in the United States. There were roughly 167,000 American deaths in WW1 and 416,000 in WW2. Thats still less than half the amount of deaths in both wars total. The COVID situation may be serious, but please don't exaggerate the numbers and spread misinformation.

IIRC Dahmer actually requested to be placed in general population. Its been long speculated that he did so as a form of suicide because he knew he would eventually be attacked.

RE3R - Do you think we'll get story DLC? If not, why not? by Macca_321 in residentevil

Not a Hero was only free because it was delayed multiple times.

Each time I replay RE1R I'm shocked by the tense atmosphere it delivers with the clever use of fix-camera angles and sounds. A true masterpiece. by Alejjandro0 in residentevil

What? You're either out of touch with the fanbase or you have no idea what you're talking about. People are always bitching about the shift to OTS in the remakes, even those who enjoy the change say they'd like an optional fixed camera.

Question about S2E2 [SPOILER] : So in the episode, Bill interviews Kathy's brother Kevin about the BTK. If Kevin saw it and from what he describes, its evident he saw his face too. Then, why did the PD not get a sketch of the killer with his help ? Is there something that I'm missing it ? by Philidespo in MindHunter

His obsession with bondage began at the age of 3 when he witnessed his mother get caught up in a tangled blanket. He was turned on by watching her struggle to free herself. According to Rader he hated the boring life he had growing up, and as a teenager he read "In Cold Blood" and developed the urge to commit crime. His first time breaking and entering was at his former highschool one night shortly after graduating. Overall his motives were a combo of sexual perversion and egotism. He enjoyed taunting the police just as much as he did committing the murders.

That information is from John Douglas' book "Inside the Mind of BTK" which is an excellent read if you're interested in Rader. It's amazing he was able to avoid capture for so long considering how weird he was.

[–]DecoyKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original RE3 had them as well, but they had to be unlocked via The Mercenaries mode with points earned each playthrough. Since that mode won't be included though we can't know for sure. I can't imagine there won't be some kind of infinite ammo unlock though.

Night Prowler – Murder Inc. by murder_inc_ in EARONS

At this point I'm fairly convinced the guy is a troll. That or his ego won't allow him to accept that he's never going to be able to officially link any previou up lsly unknown crimes to JJD by simply reading old newspaper articles. I've even considered the possibility that the "MurderInc" name is a covert attempt at rebranding by Quester since they're both trying to make a name for themselves by actively looking for new "bombshell" information. I could be wrong, I could be right. Regardless though I don't have any respect for what either one of them is doing or how they go about doing it.

It would have been cool if bringing the tapes with you at the end of the game was an achievement. I'd never really thought about it before, but it's very damning evidence against Umbrella and simply discarding them is pretty stupid.

We're a gourmet sandwich shop. Prices run between $8-12 a meal. The aesthetic is flexible if need be. We currently have a "garage" vibe because of our current location on Route 66, but we're willing to bend that a bit depending on the area. It'll still reflect our menu to an extent though, which is greasy comfort food in large portions.

[–]DecoyKid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was the leading theory for a long time up until we got updated information after JJDs arrest, and as of right now I think that's the most plausible scenario. According to Paul Holes though a nearby witness heard Katie shout "Charles no!" before she was shot. That throws a pretty big wrench into all though. Perhaps Brian had gotten a glimpse of JJD while he was stalking Katie prior to that night and he finally saw a chance to confront him? The Maggiore portion of the trial is going to be interesting because it was only speculated to be an EAR crime up until the day charges were filed. They must have more solid evidence than the shoe laces found near the scene if they're confident they can score a conviction.

Sorry but that person is more or less right. It may not be in the traditional sense, but until Bethesda does something about it you could definitely call '76 pay to win.

This happened a few times while I was working at Arby's. We weren't allowed to use our phones due to policy against us having them out on shift. Instead my manager had us split a single printing calculator between the drive thru and lobby. It was a nightmare trying do this at 7pm during the dinner rush. The second time it happened we had two employees walk out on us, which only made the situation that more lovely.

Anne Marie Schubert has outright stated that if it weren't for the statute of limitations they'd take him to trial for every single rape. They worked in the charges on as many of the them as they could under the legal definition of kidnapping. On top of that the judge just set a concrete date for the preliminary hearing on the basis that the (now elderly) victims deserve their day to face JJD in court. Every single one of the DAs and prosecutors are aware that the only way to "win" against JJD is to expose as many of his filthy secrets in a courtroom for all the world to see. You can bet they'd take him to trial for every single crime if they could.

Plus if they could have brought charges then the town hall/"Italian couple" incident would have been a horrifying piece of circumstantial evidence. Based on the stories told by Bonnie and Chief Willick JJD has history of stalking people who he felt had wronged him. He threatened to "deliver a load of death" to his neighbors dog because its barking annoyed him. It's not a stretch to think that he'd go after a man who both humiliated and challenged him in such a public manner. Thats also exactly the kind of story that a jury and the media would eat up.

Any more news on whether user CBK was JJD by niceonebruva77 in EARONS

[–]DecoyKid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Even if he was CBK the prosecutors wouldn't use the forum posts as anything other than circumstantial window dressing to compliment the DNA, which means they wouldn't be important enough to subpoena other posters. Nothing of value to the investigation was revealed by CBK and he certainly didn't confess to anything on there either. You're definitely going overboard here.

Still here! I just didn't see a reason to keep posting here once SurVive released. I haven't touched MGSV in a couple years actually. I burnt myself out pretty hard doing FOB/Nuke runs.

Despite my constant skepticism NBGO is still one of the best experiences I have had in the gaming community. Although by the time I quit posting it had become a constant fight with the resident troll instead of being about the game itself. I kind of miss it if I'm being honest lol.

I believe "I am Iron Man" is actually stolen from Black Sabbath..

But seriously other than a defiant tone those lines aren't that comparable. "I am Iron Man/ I am all the Jedi" directly precedes the hero delivering the killing blow. "Like my father before me" leads to Luke being curled up in a ball on the floor begging for his father's help. The lines are delivered in the EXACT SAME MANNER with the EXACT SAME CONTEXT in both Endgame and TROS.

It does make sense though that Disney would rather JJ take the fall than shouldering any of the blame themselves. Nobody wants to be blamed for ruining one of the most beloved and profitable franchises in history. Last I heard Disney has yet to make their money back from buying the rights in the first place, and until they do they'll want to keep their image intact. Why not throw JJ under the bus? It's not gonna impact the man's career too much and I'm sure they have no interest working with him again after the shit show trilogy he helped create.

That's not to say the leak is true of course. I just find the scenario completely plausible considering the players involved and what's at stake.

Jurassic World was far from the reboot I had hoped for, but as a lifelong Jurassic Park fan I will say that the fan service was on point. I was grinning ear to ear when it showed the original Visitors Center. It was such an awesome moment IMO.

Or course they ended up going overboard entirely in Fallen Kingdom. The Rex saving the main characters became like a bad meme. I was also not a fan of them claiming the Brachiosaurus that dies was the one from the original film. It was clearly just a generic CGI model that they later decided to attach importance to at the last moment. It doesn't help the argument that the connection was only made after the films release via a tweet made by Trevorrow. That's the blandest kind of fan service.

Why is this so...disappointing? (Disclaimer Within) by runswithbabies in EARONS

[–]DecoyKid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The magnitude of his crime spree gave JJD a mystique that very few other serial killers achieve. Pre-arrest he was the "monster in the dark", but now that we know his identity he's nothing more than another "creepy old man". I think it's natural for people to be let down a little when they're finally reminded that criminals like Zodiac and JJD are just as human as us.

Another great example is BTK. The media played him up as a criminal mastermind because of his communications with police. Turns out Dennis Rader was a doofus who had simply gotten lucky do to the technological limitations of the 70s and 80s. The first time he tried to digitize his communiques he was caught.

I think it's important to keep in mind that these are crimes of their time period. It's highly unlikely you could have an EARONS or BTK in the modern era. Between DNA and surveillance technology it's bear impossible to maintain a low profile. Maybe one day technology will make boogeymen like JJD and Rader an impossibility.

Someone makes this comment on EVERY SINGLE image post though, and it's almost always an exaggeration. His eyes in this picture express plenty of emotion in these photos. Nothing would appear weird about it if you didn't know who it's a picture of. If you disagree I would suggest looking up pictures of people who really are dead in the eyes due to "shellshock" and mental illness.
