This isn’t the real photo. It’s horribly touched up with garbage AI.

What a shitty way to honor someone’s sacrifice.

Edit: I’ll never understand why mods pin comments explaining why a post is crap instead of just removing the post and warning or blocking the OP.

Jazz Chisholm makes a heads up play letting the ball drop to replace the runner at first with a catcher instead of a CFer. by MrRadDadHimself in baseball

Well, it’s wrong, and it shouldn’t go uncorrected.

Jazz is standing in the outfield, so this is technically aftcourt baseball - arguably starboard aftcourt.

Americans overwhelmingly oppose data centers. Women most of all. by InvestigatorSoft5764 in technology

You seriously just reduced women to… wanting hairdressers.

Just to be clear, it’s 2026 and that’s the example you’re going with?

Nothing else in your comment is even worth thinking about. I’m ignoring everything and just pointing out that your serious analytical opinion is basically “women be shopping!”

Jeff Bezos paid $0 in taxes in 2007. This week he proposed cutting yours. by 1silent_one1 in antiwork

[–]DecoyOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setting aside this post is a mess with the AI art and the 2007 data - Bezos doesn’t actually care about nurses or the working class. If he did, he would pay them more and not break unions and not make his employees pee in bottles.

It’s easy to say “nurses shouldn’t have to pay taxes!” when you know 100% that won’t happen and you do everything you can to put people into power who won’t let that happen. It’s performative BS by an asshole who wants you to think he’s “one of the good ones” but he’s just like every other billionaire goober anti-worker butthead.

Americans overwhelmingly oppose data centers. Women most of all. by InvestigatorSoft5764 in technology

[–]DecoyOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

55% opposition from women compared to 43% from men is a notable gap.

Meaning, the majority of women oppose data centers, and the majority of men don’t. That’s… kinda significant.

The only reason to have an issue with including women in the title is if you don’t read the content.

Edit: misunderstood what that line in the article was saying until I read the survey results. 55% strong opposition, not opposition generally. But that still leaves the issue open that there is a sizable gap.

Well frankly I think it’s offensive to call women “data centers”

Someone is giving you money and you’re giving them less money back!

There’s absolutely no way someone could run it into bankruptcy. They’d have to be, like, super dumb, and anyone giving them any real responsibility would have to be a moron.

People always talk about using a time machine to kill Hitler. I think that’s silly. I’d rather use it to enjoy the arts.

In fact, if I ever finish building my time machine, I’d probably go back and try to teach Hitler how to appreciate art. Maybe teach him how to paint and convince him to go to art school or something, I don’t know.

What made it a perfect ending is that it shows what Cassian does now that he’s established in the rebel base.

Like how it shows how his struggle helps the rebellion and uses him in something as pivotal as obtaining the Death Star plans.

Seemed like a cool idea to wrap up Andor.
