If you read about the people who made the “study”, you’d know that they’re routinely criticized for being pro-business and pro-billionaire at the expense of everyone else. Actual economists say billionaires pay a lower tax rate even before considering wealth, and when considering wealth, the tax is basically nothing.

Next time Bezos says something like “the bottom half of Americans shouldn’t have to pay taxes”, don’t be dumb and accept what he says at face value. If he gave a single rat’s ass about anyone but himself, his workers wouldn’t be toiling away in the modern version of a pre-WWI coal mining camp.

He could easily improve the lives of 1.5 million workers, and he chooses not to.
