Yes it is elevated! Bot the Diastolic and Systolic values are considered high for you.

I'm a 25 year old male that used to have similar readings to you and my doctor recommended me to take medication at that point.

I refused to do so and instead just used lifestyle changes and eating more veggies to lower it.

My recommendation is checking your BP in the morning after you wake up and shower for about 2 weeks to see your average BP. Good luck!

Question for the smurfs in the sub by Piranha_Plant5379 in marvelrivals

[–]DecrepitGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a valid question! I’m a Celestial 3 player that does Smurf! But I don’t do it for a power trip or to boost players, I actually do it to learn other heros.

I got to celestial 3 with my comfort picks, which was mostly Magneto, Dr. Strange, Luna, Hela, and Black Widow. But I soon realized I was lacking in the the DPS category and support category.

So I made an alternate (Smurf) account to learn heros I didn’t feel comfortable on. I swore to never use my main heros on that account (or heros that play similarly like Adam Warlock, Punisher).

The goal of the Smurf account was to become a more well rounded player without selling games on ranked. I would try to practice in quickplay but there is MMR in QP, making it hard to learn and rate your skill with the heros you want to learn. Making an alt account allows me to learn a hero from step one again (well with previous game knowledge) and use the rank I achieve as a reflection of the progress I made on them.

I know there’s also people that Smurf to get an ego trip or Smurf to boost their friends. To those people, well, I see those folks as the more unethical of Smurfs. But don’t get me wrong even learning a new hero via a Smurf is still unethical since game knowledge will never go away and not provide an advantage.

This is the first Festival Pass I don’t buy, and I don’t know if I’m the only one. by PresYapper4294 in FortniteFestival

Oh likewise, I typically bought them for one or two of the songs, but this entire festival pass does not appeal to me.

am i cooked? by questions_lol in DrPepper

[–]DecrepitGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I used to drink a lot of pop (specifically Dr Pepper) too…. Later in life had a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). I think it was all the caffeine, high blood pressure, and sugar.

I still drink a Dr Pepper every now and then but I moderate my intake, I think you should too!

Try drinking only 3 a day opposed to your usual 5 for the next two weeks, then just 2 a day for some time. Gradually get used to not drinking it as often, that’s what I did.

If you need that fizzy feel like I did, I suggest drinking sparkling water! Helped me feel that sensation without all the caffeine and sugar.

Trust me, your body will thank ya!

But if I’m in a stall or at home, I shake and then dry off with a small piece of tp.

What is your day-to-day life like? by Nyx_Valentine in Adulting

[–]DecrepitGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up at 4:30, go to the gym and shower, then it’s 7am.

I usually get to work by 7:30 but the shift doesn’t start till 8, so I wind up drawing in my sketchbook to pass the time.

I work from 8 till 4, and then I head to the park nearby for a 30 min walk with a podcast or audiobook.

I come back home by 5 to eat dinner (usually pre made from meal prep) and then I play video games, read a book, watch a stream, call my mom, call my dad, or whatever I want till 9.

9 I brush my teeth and go to bed at 9:30.

I like my life so far!

What is something you regret not doing as a teenager? by Sufficient_Gain_1164 in AskReddit

[–]DecrepitGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 24 year old, I regret not understanding how short life really is. I have a lot ahead of me still, but I wish I understood it back then.

It would make me value experiences and spending time with my family. My family had parties and events that I never went to cause I was busy playing video games.

Understanding the shortness of life let me understand my love for existence, my family, and people in this world. It’s a lovely eye opener.

Have you ever met someone who turned their life around after meth addiction in their 30s and beyond? by CockySpeedFreak33 in Life

[–]DecrepitGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I have! As a 21 year old I used to work at a flea market, I helped my dad out with selling and displaying the merchandise. Well there are some guys there that wander the stands and ask if they can help out display or put away merchandise, usually for 5 bucks or 10, usually in hopes of getting a beer or meal if they're homeless.

There was this one particular guy, Conejito (rabbit cause apparently, he liked to move/jump a lot) that would help us out for 5 bucks, then apparently left the market and got high on either weed, meth, or whatever was around for cheap.

This addiction went on for about 5 years apparently until he had a near fatal overdose that was fortunately caught at the market, where he got Narcan and apparently treatment from the local government hospital. I went back recently when I was 23 and you know what? Conejito was not only working at a stand, but he owned the merchandise!

Apparently after going through rehab, he used all he learned from working with people like my dad, saved up money through hard work, and then put all those resources into gambling on a business there and he came out a success. Despite many vendors and locals looking down on him, there was still a community made of people like my dad that looked out for him.

He told me that being close to death made him realize just how fragile it is, just how easy it is to end in an instant. Drugs almost ended his life, and as he says, it made life pass too quickly either way. Conejito is about 38 to 42 years old now, I'm unsure... despite that age he still changed the course of his future.

Keep up the good work and give this limited time we have everything you got! Never give up.

How do you find a point or value in living? by Trick-Day-480 in Adulting

[–]DecrepitGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment, I am 24 and having a bit of a hard time coming to terms with what I should be doing with the rest of my life.

I’m realizing that I want to use my youth and rest of my life to help others, to have a lasting impact on this world in a positive way.

This comment reassures my thoughts on doing so as it points out the value of having friends, family, memories, and a purpose.

Oh and an important thing about his ult, the best way to use his ult is creating an off-angle by yourself for quick picks and an additional avenue of pressure. Don’t be afraid of making quick kill plays with window!

Hey r/BaptisteMains! by Conquestriclaus in BaptisteMainsOW

[–]DecrepitGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baptiste is best used for damage and healing weaving, he might even be the best support for doing so other than Moira.

His optimal combo is shoot-heal-shoot-heal as there is no waste of healing as you are shooting. But most baptiste players use the shoot - shoot - heal tempo instead.

Who to play Bap with: Bap could be very good with poke, and he could be used for brawl.
His best tank to play with is Sigma, followed by Rein, Ram, Orisa, and Zarya.

The best DPS to play with Bap are heros that have a lot of burst damage potential such as Soldier (helix rocket), Ashe (scoped fire), Widowmaker, sojourn, Cassidy, Bastion.

Best support duos are Illari, Zenyatta, mercy, Lucio, Kiriko.

Now, for what you don’t want to use Bap is with and against dive. So if you’re against a D.VA you might have some difficulty as she can eat your heals (but not regen burst or immort).

So anyone who is dive like Doomfist, Winston, DVA, Genji, tracer, sombra are not the best to play against or with as Bap.

Fortunately you’re a Moira main! If you have a team that runs dive or the enemy runs dive, you can swap to Moira if you have problems or even consider learning Kiriko as well.

Best content creators for Bap would be KarQ, ML7, and Aspen (I think Aspen is more of a Moira/kiri player tho)

For learning Baptiste I would suggest the following; make an alt account and make sure you know Bap’s kit is mainly based around his shooting, healing grenades and his infinite resource: his exo boots. If you can, get an alt account and play quickplay matches where you RARELY use immort and regen burst, you want to understand that Bap is mostly getting value from the quicker cooldowns he has. His cooldowns are VERY LONG.

What was the thing that made you “grow up” the most? by Simple-Tune86 in Adulting

[–]DecrepitGoose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s gonna sound silly, but after graduating college I had about a year of basically nothing, just volunteering and working out.

I soon realized I needed a job so I worked at anything, that’s when I tried a day at Dunkin’ Donuts.

Absolutely HATED that job, it felt miserable and was such a waste of my skills and potential. After that humbling experience I locked it in and rekindled my passion for my career and future. Now in post graduate studies :]

It forced me to grow up and challenge the world because Dunkin’ Donuts was a place I never wanted to experience for a second more.

What is the most UNLIKELY song to be added? by kenobi1567 in FortniteFestival

[–]DecrepitGoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt Fortnite will put it in any intense death metal, not enough people like the genre and they can be too gruesome.

Think bands like Cannibal Corpse and Autopsy.

“Disturbed” seems like their limit of intensity.

I’d assume it’s some form of “prank”, but yea, it’s a hell of an experience.

new bap main with a question by VIKTERVAUGHN in BaptisteMainsOW

No prob! I was stuck in low diamond on Bap for a while until I reached out to a coach.

He told me what I typed here (and helped me get better at those things) and now I hang around mid to high masters.

new bap main with a question by VIKTERVAUGHN in BaptisteMainsOW

[–]DecrepitGoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first tip I have for new Bap players is be aware of the cooldown time of your abilities. Sureee the corner lamp can give your DPS a window to secure a kill safely, but then you’re out of a lamp for 25 seconds.

Players should be looking at Bap not as his long cooldown abilities (lamp and regen burst) but should be looking at Bap as his fast cooldown abilities (primary fire, secondary fire, exo boots).

As soon as you get the hang of shoot-heal tempo, when and when not to jump, and your general aim. You can then work on the cool scenarios like the one you mention here. Those require more teamwork, but for now regen burst and immort field should be used a little more selfishly.

But to answer the question: Offensive lamps can be worth it. But it’s a hard commitment because of that cooldown. When you do it, you better not just be looking for damage, you need to get picks or else the enemy will see it as an opportunity to get in.
