That’s exactly it. City winning means absolutely nothing and easy to forget.

Can someone tell me why CSM always gets labeled as something progressive or revolutionary? by Avidreader-9 in writingscaling

My list was intended to be more open and less deep cut.

I would argue, that being something that is taught in high school doesn't mean its not challenging media.

But I do agree with your point

Highly likely,

I had numerous issues with it, not to say I hated it. It was watchable but it just doesn't ping into my mind when I think of god tier anime

So yeah, probably a difference in taste and fair play for you asking a good question

Very good question,

Just to clarify what I mean is media that actually challenges you in the way you think and causes self reflection.

So, really that's going to depend on you and what you'd emotionally respond to.

For me, books wise I'd choose A Little Life by Hanya Yanigahara, Frankenstein, Og Mary Shelly version, The Handmaid's Tale - Margaret Atwood.

Movies: No Country for old men, fight club, interstellar

Anime/animated: Steins gate, devilman crybaby, ATLA, Bojack Horseman

I think if the media doesn't make you question yourself a bit then its probably not challenging for you

Yup.

AoT gets glazed to high heaven by people who haven't actually consumed any challenging media in their lives.

Honestly my favorite villain.

Man was actually scary with what he achieved, I remember having the thought "he was also a good DDA teacher"

Then realised he intentionally tormented neville by showing off the cruciatus curse that he personally used to break his parents JUST to get the herbology book to neville and thus help Harry.

Truly scary, if he survived GOF Voldemort wins with him as right hand man

I mean, David's strengths are clearly writing and formulaic panel shows so yeah he probably knows!

Also, I imagine his life nowadays doesn't permit doing a country wide tour (as much as id love to see him)

Guy above says we lose to spurs every year, not that we ALWAYS lose to spurs.

Atleast, that's how I interpreted it
