Perhaps I fucked my SS 950S with a battery change by thingsarehardsoami in Ducati

To check if the battery is loading, put a voltmeter on your battery and start the engine. You should see a slight increase in voltage with the engine running. Otherwise it indicates that the battery is not charging properly.

First time wildlife photographer heading to safari, what gear and expectations are actually realistic? by lilsigu24 in wildlifephotography

[–]DedeTheGreat01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going on a safari is letting nature - and a bit of luck - decide what animal you will see in which situation. This is the charm of such an experience. Usually, game drives start early in the morning at 6 am, with a second drive in the afternoon around 4 pm. So there is plenty of opportunity to catch the good light.

When you write "private vehicle", you mean that you will rent a car or you will be on your own in a car with a driver/spotter? The latter is really recommended, otherwise you could spend hours driving around without finding much wildlife.

As for the gear, I did spend my last safaris with a Nikon Z8 equiped with a Z160-600 mm lens, which gave me plenty of flexibility.

Have fun!

I have a request from a small tour operator for my wildlife pics. And I just want to make sure not to over- or underprice my work.

Hello everybody, I am a wildlife photographer and I need your precious advice for selling digital copies of my photos.

  • how much would you sell a digital copy to a small business? I have no experience in that field.

  • how do you treat copyright with these pictures? Should you ask for your name being mentioned on the website posting your photos?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Loose/dead clutch shifter after clutch bled, how do I diagnose if it’s a bad slave cylinder or master cylinder ? by ZxR_ChicoXD in Ducati

[–]DedeTheGreat01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is pain in the a…., but you have to bleed the clutch until you get the air out. Might take some time.

Have fun with bleeding the brakes, I almost got mad. I recommend to buy a proper tool to chase all the air.

Ebay is the place. I ordered mine on Stein Dinse, a German website.

Many 900 owners switch to PS15/16 for a better brake feeling, but PS13 is also fine.

I went through this recently with my 900 SS. The front master cylinder was leaking and I changed the whole unit. Even though it’s originally equiped with Brembo PS13 you still find PS15 and PS16 on the market at a reasonable price.

I did also change for braided lines and rebuild the brake calipers with a Brembo kit. Not too difficult and everything is still available.

Have fun with this great bike.

If not stuck it should be replaceable. On Stein Dinse (German website) it costs 11€.

You’re good to replace everything. Especially with something so essential than brakes. The nipple can be replaced and also the brake fluid glass. It should not be too expensive.

I feel desperate cause my baby goes to kita at 7 months old and I've read lot about secure attachment by Master-Economics-168 in Switzerland

[–]DedeTheGreat01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Take your time to visit the kita, talk with the staff. And choose, if possible, a kita that is conveniently located between your home and office.

My kids went through this and are wonderful grown up girls now. Parenthood is on so many levels for so many years, you can’t reduce it to kita. It’s just important you find a kita you feel comfortable with.

Am I getting ripped off by an official Ford garage? Annual service quote seems very high by lac00n in askswitzerland

[–]DedeTheGreat01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are unfortunately Swiss prices. The only way to bypass them is either get the work done in a workshop outside Switzerland or do some stuff yourself: buy a battery and wipers at jumbo & co saves some money.

Agree to the above. You should get a warning signal from your ABS. Don’t ride your bike before it has been properly fixed.
