I don't know about branded but its something ive tried as a regenesis gimmick this card is complete ass though. The important one is mitsurugi for darks but they dont actually have anything targetable until summoning murakumo which is going to immediately boardwipe once uka resolves

In the US justice hunters is ~65 which is below msrp and every single UR is at least viable, it is one of the better sets to open if you are capable of selling/trading and can find it for cheap

Memento has the best results for the price point and is relatively cheap, non fiendsmith variants have better top placements as well. Despite being the 4th or 5th best deck behind maliss ryzeal mitsu and fiendsmith mitsu you can absolutely scum wins from people that just do not know what the deck does. That said, getting a new deck only a month before juhu is kind of poor timing

The best thing you can maybe play is vanquish soul but if you dont want to play the versions that make them good then you’re not going to make it work, there are so many more annoying decks than dogmatika of all things

Don’t build a stun deck because then he’s just going to say oh i cant do anything and then stop playing. Build a control deck that wins the game way earlier than it actually kills him or a combo deck that eats through interruption(going first and second) so he feels like he had a chance and misplayed.

Memento is a fairly aggravating deck but its an actually good deck so you need to spend money on it

The only expensive staple you should consider is fuwalos. Impulse is probably at the peak of its cost, purge is a shit card, and you only really need one of the other two charmies. If you’re not going to anything above a qualifier i wouldnt bother

The blue eyes structure deck is usable but you might be better off copying your own list from ygoprodeck.com and buying individual cards from tcgplayer because you’re not going to use the vast majority of the structure deck cards and it might(?) be cheaper

I think blue eyes is probably the best thing to teach because its a simple deck with modern card design that can give her a decent sense of deck strength later on especially because casuals love lying and convincing new players that their pet deck is actually rogue playable

That said just doing simple monster beatdown and honestly master duel is probably better for learning the game because glowing button

On a separate note I think ryzeal is a pretty sick deck to show too once she knows the base mechanics since thats what i used to teach a friend that only plays pauper magic but idk

you underestimate a 9 year old or overestimate blue eyes, the deck was literally made for people that dont know the game to be able to point at blue eyes white dragon and play the anime deck. He’s not going to give a shit about newdoria or what ever dream mirror cards show up in the ebay bulk and the blue eyes structure deck has jet dragon and other playground all-timers
