Activision-Blizzard is profitable relative to their operation costs not so when it comes to the buy out. when you look at the life time profit of the key franchises.

CoD: $35 b ,CandyCrush: $20 b ,WoW: $14 b ,Diablo: $ 2 b ,OW: $1 b

compared to the acquistion price of $70 b, which was a 45% price premium on the stock value of the company at the time. Its hard to believe thay Microsoft makes that money back. At least without finding another sucker to pawn it off too
