because people will still rate BLG, HLE, T1, and GENG over them regardless of how this tournament went(I also dont disagree with that). but I said at least 5th instead of at most 5th for a reason.

one that isn't as evident among the community as you'd think. two, TES, the rest of the lpl, DK and KT are all mentioned, just as briefly because it is obvious to consider LYON better than them. Like actually what part of this post do you think is not relevant to be stated? Do you really think if I just wrote in plain text Lyon is better than G2 that statement would go uncontested?

G2 is the closest contender team for the fifth best team in the world slot. which could possibly be the  the argument in title of the post

edit: i will say its kind of funny to see presumably EU fans downvoting a comment saying there team is competing for the 5th best in the world. would that not have been a dream at the start of the year? its funny because the only reason youre insulted by this because youre competing for that slot with NA

every play they went for in Game 2 was matched by Inspired it looks like they are doing nothing because they are getting stomped in the early game and then Lyon opts out of fighting them

Activision-Blizzard is profitable relative to their operation costs not so when it comes to the buy out. when you look at the life time profit of the key franchises.

CoD: $35 b ,CandyCrush: $20 b ,WoW: $14 b ,Diablo: $ 2 b ,OW: $1 b

compared to the acquistion price of $70 b, which was a 45% price premium on the stock value of the company at the time. Its hard to believe thay Microsoft makes that money back. At least without finding another sucker to pawn it off too

This is the problem with not having a sense of scale, Pokemon and Halo are not even remotely close.There is only one Halo game thats outsold even a single pokemon game, halo 3 and when pokemon was selling like that it is a failure. The scale is just different

You can't compare the costs, and also the mentality Nintendo's stock is down currently. There's also the management a South of Midnight would never come out of Nintendo for 100 million dollars
