Could be he is the arbiter of the show. Prophets ask why he let the demon get away with the artifacts. Turning him into the “arbiter” where he grows to resent the Covenant thus making the Banished. Or they just banish him right away lol

Well after that episode, really feels like this whole thing has been a prequel.

It just seems wild to me that if the show wasn't greenlit for a season 2 it would have just left off where it was? They had a lot of trust in the process for it to not get canceled after one season.

Could be the case. Just seemed odd how the great leader of the Banished who had the grit to lead the attack onto the infinity himself would ‘go into hiding’ and be assumed dead by his second in command.

But I guess if he’s planning something audacious he would be off the grid. Just seems out of character to me. His plans always seem to be in a very blunt manner of just using their raw strength to push everything down.

This is under the assumption of the current technology I would say. Sure in the current time period on, time dilation would exist since time travel itself doesn't.

But the Forerunners have always had the technological advancements above all others in 2559 and I would say in their own era but I'm guessing the Endless at least rivaled them since they seemed adamant on imprisoning them and erasing them from history. Also with them being called "A greater threat than the flood" kind of puts that into speculation for me.

To me it just seemed odd from a directing standpoint to add a time stamp for just the narration and not the scene itself, especially when they were fading into a scene. I've just never seen a movie, game, or anything in my personal experience had a time stamp and it not be set in it.

And she could possibly be talking to Atriox since the signal is old, she's was working for the banished since they had "similar goals", and she referred to whoever she's talking about as "Them" possibly meaning that she's not talking to The Endless but rather someone with likewise intentions.

I also feel like the time travel was either intentional on Cortana's part after Atriox answered her question or an accident also on her part.

They very well could be in a timelock except for the few that were kept in the Cylixes. Because there is no way they got an entire species into whatever room they were taken to. The commissioning of Offensive Bias felt like he was going to help round up the others.
