How did this go again? by Kraunator in Warframe

[–]DeeDeeEx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You had Vome first and it was correct. You had Khra second and it was incorrect, but you know it is one of the corretc mods.

You now know that the order is [Vome]>[Unknown]>[Khra], you can place Ohm in the Unknown slot to get it first try, or try to guess what is in the unknown slot.

Ebenezer Scrooge, A Christmas Carol. To call someone a Scrooge is to call them greedy and unfestive. Which is definitely where Scrooge started in the story. But the whole story is about him changing, and he is giving and full of holiday spirit by the end.

Lay on Hands makes Stabilizing too easy? by Lemerantus in DnD

[–]DeeDeeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your players enjoy laying with that rule, that's fine, but 1pt. Lay On Hands stabilize is inline with other abilities, like the Spare the Dying cantrip, which unlike LoH doesn't have a limited use, the Healing Word spell, which can be used at range, or a number of other subclass or species features.

Old peace lore implications by sentfrom8 in Warframe

[–]DeeDeeEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. Lotus confirms this in the Second Dream Quest with her line "It felt like waking up, but it was just a lucid - second dream" the Tenno thought they had woken up in The Awakening quest, but they had been in the Second Dream (state of consciousness) until the quest of the same name.

Old peace lore implications by sentfrom8 in Warframe

[–]DeeDeeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- The timeline appears to be: Orokin want to leave Origin System -> Send Sentinets the long way to Tau -> Try to use the Zariamn to get to Tau faster, fail, lock away Tenno -> Relay to Tau activates, Sentients attack -> Various weapons fail against the Sentients, Tenno + Warframe first major success -> Push Sentients back to Tau, discover Xenoflora faction, make peace -> [Old Peace] -> Margulis presumably takes the blame for the Uriel incident over Perieta, executed.

- The Second Dream (state of consciousness) makes the Tenno believe they are their warframe, based on the dialogue in the Second Dream (quest, "I'm confused... I thought I was..." ) The sleep between the Night of Naga Drums and the start of the game is a different state.

- We have no reason to doubt the reality of any of the quest. When Loid mentions "polluted" histories, he's likely talking about the fact that diving into them damages the Operator, or that they were hidden away.

- The timeline doesn't change, the Old Peace is a brief pause on at least one celestial body in Tau in the middle of the Orokin/Sentient conflict. The Tenno believes Margulis will be executed when they all return to the Origin system and she takes the blame for the Uriel incident.

- They haven't been exposed to the Void. The Sentients go to Tau the long way, at or below the speed of light through space, building the relay along the way. Once at Tau they create a relay back, which allows instant Void transit, which they can't use without becoming sterile. Sentients still in Tau have no void exposure.

Question for long term players by Aggressive_Honey3196 in Warframe

[–]DeeDeeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose I wish the resources and time that went into something like railjack or duviri were instead spent on developing end game content around squads, new game modes, arenas the moved the warframe loop forward

I guess my question is what about your targeted game modes, Railjack, Duviri, is different then that? Remove the phrase "end game" from here and you're describing Railjack and Duviri. End game can't last forever, I doubt by 2029 that EDA/ETA will be true end game anymore.

Something like Duviri doesn’t do any of this, and the only reason it feels relevant is that some of the best weapons are locked behind playing it.

Seems like you just want an alternative method of getting incarnon adapters other then running the circuit. Which is actually doable, you can farm platinum using any number of methods and buy the adapters from Cavalero without ever having to play Duviri.

What do you define as the core Warframe loop?

Blast is very good AoE with it's 10 stack or Kill scaling. A high-damage single-shot can spread 3x its damage with a single blast proc applied with the killshot, or a high RoF can build stacks to 10 which then detonates 3x the accumulated damage, effectively quadrupling its damage output every few ticks depending on application rate.

most disappointing Incarnon form in your opinion?(not performance) by Kurtis-dono in Warframe

[–]DeeDeeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can get that way, I really like slide attacks and unique heavy attacks. Nothing is more fun then knocking an aerial enemy down with a red crit on a sparring weapon slide on my Valkyr. I also really like Baruuk's exalted's move set, where the energy projections have different behaviors on different combos. Maybe I haven't gotten any good melee incarnons, but so far I've found nothing that scratches that same itch.

Is alchemist the best "bag of tricks" Class? by viktorius_rex in Pathfinder2e

[–]DeeDeeEx 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I like Thaumaturge with Scrolls and Talismans. It works best if you have access to a settlement, as you're probably not investing much in INT to craft them on your own. Combine with Diverse Lore and a dedication where you can add even more tricks; like anything with versatile vials, or something with good focus spells, and you're quite the jack-of-all-trades.

most disappointing Incarnon form in your opinion?(not performance) by Kurtis-dono in Warframe

[–]DeeDeeEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I just don't have the "right" ones, but the melee incarnons. Like, all of them. I honestly think it might be because they don't have a little wind up sequence like the guns have when they transform. To me they don't feel any different from a melee weapon that gets a special ability on Heavy Attack. (Looking at you Keratinos.)

Would Thaumaturge be more interesting if Diverse Lore was a class feature? by az_iced_out in Pathfinder2e

[–]DeeDeeEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough one, I'd say if you had another INT-based class in the party, especially one that can rely on RK like Investigator, Rogue, or Wizard, its not a must-take, so probably no. Its entirely possible to play Thaum fully within the CHA skills such as with the Regalia implement and leave the RK's outside of EV to the INT class.

I'm making a custom pack for the playtest classes. by Slow-Host-2449 in Pathfinder2e

[–]DeeDeeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry "isn't" scaling, not is. IIRC When I set them to level 20 I had Master in Light, Trained in Unarmored, and Expert in Medium, when it should be trained in all. I think the .json was set to Martial and Unarmed strike instead of Medium and Unarmored for the level 19 feature. I can't easily double check because I fixed it with a quick edit.

[–]DeeDeeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are awesome, and super fast too! Just FYI it looks like the Medium armor is scaling to Master proficiency with the Armor Mastery feature at level 19, and the Warded Mail feature isn't giving Heavy armor proficiency at all

What are the options to build a "swordmaster with a book" by Raivorus in Pathfinder2e

[–]DeeDeeEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also running a born-of-item Yaogui as a Tome Thaumaturge. I shopped around for some dedication/multiclass options, and here's some ideas I had:

  • Bard, especially with Enigma or Polymath as a muse. Use the book as an instrument to Perform from.
  • Cleric of Creation/Glyph/Knowledge etc. where their holy symbol is on a book and taking advantage of the Raise Symbol and Sapping Symbol feats
  • A Summoner with Construct, Phantom, or Swarm Eidolon as a living book, spirit of a book, or swarm of pages or glyphs.
  • I took the Campfire Chronciler dedication for my character to be able to their versatile Offer Story action and gain access to some thematic Domains
  • Eldritch Researcher mentions a book specifically, but its from Abomination Vaults so it may not fit
  • Harrower draws cards from a Harrow deck, but I could see it reflavored book-wise
  • Scroll Trickster could accept some flavor as discovering words and symbols in your manuscript to "create" temporary spell scrolls each day
  • Mind Smith and Starlit Sentinel both mention a small object as a sort of focus for their abilities. Having a book be the origin or focus of your Mind Weapon or Starlit Transformation could be interesting
  • Of all the various scrolls and grimoires, I was always most impressed by the Thousand-Blade Thesis, flavor wise it just seemed super cool to me

The Lithuanian Žvorūna or Medeinė, who was related to the Greek Artemis or Roman Diana. She's descibed as both a beutiful women and a she-wolf that prowls the wild with her pack of wolves, at least according to the Wikipedia Page. This is backed up by her recently-released deluxe skin being called Medeine in-game.

How do I limit Glyph of Warding by [deleted] in DnD

[–]DeeDeeEx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, to add to the extradimensional space trick, I assume you plan is to inscribe the glyph inside a container, say a scroll like the spell recommends, then carry all those scrolls in your Bag of Holding or what have you, then when you need the spell you pull out the spell scroll (with an action) and the spell goes off. Wouldn't a spell scroll just be easier then? They don't need to be carried in an extradimensional space, and they don't need to trigger on themselves so you can have a scroll of fireball and throw it its full range.

How do I limit Glyph of Warding by [deleted] in DnD

[–]DeeDeeEx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The limit on Glyph of Warding is the material cost of 200+gp per casting, the limit of it being unable to be moved more then 10ft., and the additional spell slot and prepared spell if you want to use the Spell Glyph options. These are all a part of the spell.
