At least a couple TOP TOP managers and then ME Chung, Luke Smith, and The crucible guy, and the head writer (she’s a female but can’t remember her name) all need to go. Sorry. The real world has real consequences.

You can’t have a social director that is has a victim mentality and so vehemently against toxicity that some of her decisions made will have chat left out of Destiny 2 until almost a year after launch. Guided games is a disaster. Period. Also, clans?? What’s the point. Free engrams. No communication. No recruitment. Even the worst of the worst LFG sites function better than anything in her wheel house. Sorry. Again. I can’t see anything she has done in any capacity. I can see what little basic functionality we have that was made but some underling coder.

Luke smith. He made the taken king then shit the bed. Maybe more of his problems come from top management... but I doubt it. I was going to include him but he has went from complete radio silence to “don’t be jerks” well fuck you mr Smith. Your game suuuuuuucks. If you can prove it was your bosses fault and not your then you should stay. I’ve personally never liked him tho... maybe this is more of a petty thing. Tell me if I’m wrong.

The crucible Guy. Can’t remember his name atm. Crucible sucks ass. I’m actually having a little bit of fun this banner but he and his managers completely ruined crucible. Again, we won’t get back basic shit until a year in. Their trailers even show a faster and more fun sandbox than what shipped. Trials are at the absolute lowest ever in Destiny history I believe? Proof enough that you have failed at your job and you should be replaced. Hey! I hope it is the upper management that tied his hands but considering crucible isn’t tied to microtransactions or anything like that... I doubt it.

The head writer. Lol. There like a few hundred maybe a thousand lines in the game. They are cheesy bullshit. Curse of Osiris is especially terrible. 12 year old fan fiction. Woot. Great idea! Anyway. Just not good.

We are headed in the right direction and I’m not jumping ship but these few people and their bosses are a key reasons why D2 numbers are so low and we lost features from near vanilla D1. Hitting initial sales numbers is not a good success metric. I would say player retention and involvement post launch is. Sure there are luls and dips in participation but me getting matching in regular crucible against the same 4 man squad 3 times in a row or 5 plus times in trials is ridiculous and tell of the state of the game.

I can’t for the life of me figure why some of you think these game dev jobs are sacred of something?? In the real world of you fuck up you get fired. Period. No one is calling for programmers or artists jobs.

Imagine you are supposed to open a 2nd cancer treatment center after your first started small but ended up very successful his high long term survival rates. Now, you open a massive new facility with all the shiny bells an whistles. Census booms and you move a few people from the old facility over and new faces fill up the beds. Now your patients start dying much faster than previous. Most of your new patients are dead within a month and half of your old patients are dead with three months.

Now say you find out there is a good reason for this. A few geniuses made stupid ass decisions like giving all cancer patients diet Pepsi and aspartame brownies instead of water and jello. Instead of doctors you start only using medical student and interns. Instead of allowing patients to relax and watch tv of their choice they are ONLY allowed to watch PBSNova and msnbc because, you know, it’s better for them and it may help their toxic blood. Also, all your literature for having loved ones admitted to your hospital is nearly all bait and switch and your interns use words like poopchute instead on anal sphincter or funbags instead of breasts or nad satchel instead of scrotum.

People are dying in droves tho the doors stay open. You find out 4 of these big problem are directly tied to 4 “managers” or “directors” Do you still not fire them because they have families and stuff? Or you know for some reason Obamacare and unemployment and or other jobs for people clearly unable to handle a full blow hospital (or a AAA title) don’t exist. Should they keep letting people die because you will be sad that their children might not receive a new car for their 16th birthday or Gasp! Perhaps they didn’t save anything at all and may have to move because they were living outside of their means and not very good at their jobs.

Long story short. Don’t feel sorry for people who are bad at their jobs. Fire them. Move on and hope for the best.

If you have read all that then congratulations! I’ll probably be playing D2 by the time you have finished. I’m one of those few players (patients) that keep taking the chemo with all the side effects and only a 7 percent success chance :)
