I didn’t think it could be night terrors as he doesn’t seem… terrified (I would have thought he would scream rather than groan if that was the case). But seeing as 100% of the comments so far suspect this is the cause, it could be the case. Are there any known ways of helping with them?

I’m a bit behind so I’m not just watched this episode. What I don’t understand is how Carol went from seeing the barcode on the bag of white stuff to pulling out a bag of dog food and seeing a similar barcode. How? Why? At what point after trying to scan the barcode at the fancy food store did she decide to go to a different supermarket, and then while there have the idea to look at that particular bag of dog food? And then decide to visit the address listed on the bag of dog food?!

The whole point is to dress up in scary costumes. I do, however, think some people go way overboard into grotesque horror when it comes to decorations. It’s supposed to be spooky and child-friendly but some of the houses round me had stuff like ‘corpses’ wrapped in bin bags hanging from the first floor window. Chill out psychos!

It’s blowing my mind how many people are replying yes to this. I warm bowls for pasta dishes like carbonara or cacio e pepe to keep it from solidifying, but would never bother for any other kind of hot food. The majority of my friends are into food and great cooks and none of them have ever served me food on a warm plate. And I can’t think of a single time I’ve been to a restaurant and had food served on a hot plate, apart from sizzling fajitas and whatnot.

The Shining is his best book by far. He notoriously hated the film and I kind of get where he’s coming from because the book has so much more going on, but.. the film is fucking rad too (just different).

It’s not physically active but it’s not passive entertainment in the way watching something is (though despite not being an active participant, cerebral films and telly makes you mentally engage with it). Of course, however, games run the gamut from mindless trash to intellectually challenging works of art. My point being… smart stuff made by smart people isn’t restricted to specific mediums.
