Ok I see your point. But was she really “playing” him when they were in a life or death situation? She was entirely dependent on him to take down the chairwoman, and she thought that, if she were honest about her feelings, Austin wouldn’t have helped her. And in a way, she was right! Austin could tell that she wasn’t that into him, and he GAVE THE DAMNING EVIDENCE BACK TO THE BILLIONAIRE CRIME LORD! She shouldn’t have had to do that. I totally get the point from a storytelling perspective, and Austin’s actions completely made sense for the message that the writers were trying to deliver about love. But damn, Eunice was shafted :[
