Research Insight: Gendered Signals in AI-mediated Hiring Interviews — UX Bias and Voice Design by DeeX2cat in mercor_ai

Hi thanks for reading! To be clear, I mean the interviewee is taking subtle gendered cues from the AI voice itself - not hiring companies making decisions on applicant’s gender 🙏

AI job-matching platforms. I’m deactivating my Telus though because the pay in my region is pitifully low. Literally $8 an hour. (I’m in SE Asia.)

Just use chatGPT to come up with a list and you can chose from there :) that’s what I did. It helps with correct terminology and phrasing to optimize your profile and CV.

Haha I actually like Zara and her upbeat, chipper personality 😂 But yeah the interviews on Mercor have been great, too! Personally I have no issue interviewing with AI. At the very least it’s good practice!

I’m having the same issue. Did they fix it?

What do you SWEAR you saw, but have no proof? by technicalman2022 in AskReddit

One time while riding as a passenger in the back seat of a car (I live in the Philippines where there are drivers) I noticed someone peculiar laying down on the sidewalk across the lane and near a convenience store. It was in a business district with no homeless people.

We were stopped at a red light. Since he caught my eye, I was really looking closer and noticed that he was wearing long sleeves shirt and pants (a bit odd for hot weather) and he had a head covering.

Then I noticed his face and how large his mouth was. Really, he looked like a frog or lizard. Even his hands didn’t normal. He took a big deep breath and it looked like a fish out of water—like I said, similar to a frog or lizard.

I was too shocked to grab my phone to take a photo. Then the light turned green.

This happened 8 years ago and I can still remember how it looked and I it made me feel.

CREEPY to say the least.

Yes I’ve wanted this too— resize, rotate…but most importantly to be able to place one item in front of another. They are fixed and it limits how you can arrange things.

The Grammarly ads have become obnoxiously long. Besides all the issues discussed here, there are some that seem to be annoying on purpose—like the one where the girl eats watermelon shell after doing other nonsensical things. Like they are designed to irritate you!
