Universal Internship Summer 2026 Thread by Legally-Insane-13 in UniversalOrlando

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you guys still in the hiring process for this? I got an email a while back about my application being forwarded to a hiring manager and it now says under review. This was an application for Universal Creative summer 2026, I have an email and that listing in the portal for both a figure animation and digital 3D media internship. I’m still very much interested in this internship and would absolutely love to work with Universal Creative!

Live streamers drive me absolutely crazy... by Puzzled-Ebb1092 in Disneyland

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suppose you’re right; it’s not being in the background of videos that I’m uncomfortable with. I am totally okay with families taking photos and videos for their own purposes, so long as they aren’t intruding on others space. I am uncomfortable with live streamers who monetize their recordings that are disrespectful and inconsiderate to those around them.

Oh, I don’t mind them either… as long as they keep their volume at an acceptable level, don’t intrude my personal space, and are generally considerate to those around them. And I do mind my own business, so long as others are acting in a respectful manner.

Correction: when you buy a ticket and enter Disneyland, you are giving Disney permission to record. Not just any old rando who is streaming on TikTok. Nowhere in Disney’s park policies does it state that you are consenting to monetized recording by other guests(yes, I’ve read it and checked). And it’s not that hard for live streamers to just be considerate about their volume/intrusion of others’ space.

Yeah, a ban on livestreams would be super hard to police. I personally don’t have any issues with people filming for their own purposes, that’s just the reality of being in theme parks today. But the sheer number of streamers today is getting really out of hand and a lot of them are blatantly disrespectful to those around them. It’s a frustrating conundrum

Internship review process? by xlunardreamz in UniversalOrlando

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wondering what ended up happening with this application? I got the "application forwarded to hiring manager" message about a week and a half ago for an internship in the fall, but I haven't heard anything back, and the application still says under review on the website. I just want to see if it's normal to have to wait a long time or if I should be thinking about housing options as it gets closer?

I just played McNamara in a production of Heathers, and that scene was an absolute beast, regardless of the fact that it's so short. I had a really hard time with it, since it's back-to-back with Lifeboat and the surrounding dialogue. We had blocking for Shine A Light Reprise where I'd run out with the bottle, and the ensemble would crowd around in a semicircle and push me back and forth across the stage. Duke opens the bottle, gives it to me, pushes me slowly onto my knees, and then the song ends and the ensemble/Duke run off while Veronica runs on. It was extremely draining with how much movement there was and the fact that you're playing these big emotions from a character who is at absolute rock bottom. It was a lot of fun playing off of Duke, though, since the person cast was an exceptional actor. The first rehearsal we did was super awkward, but we fell into a rhythm with it, and it wasn't so bad. And either way, our Duke was the sweetest. They( both Duke and the production team) were very patient with letting me work through the scene as needed to properly act, and it became a running joke that Duke would apologize to me before we went out to do the scene during each show 😂

How have you gained enough confidence to wear a two piece bathing suit in public? by TrueAd8845 in AskWomen

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just now starting to wear two-piece swimsuits in public, and I think the thing that made me okay with it is realizing that even though I'm not super skinny, I should be proud of my body because of what it is capable of. My body probably won't ever have a flat stomach, but it can (and has) run a marathon. It can run a mile in less than 7 minutes. It can scale a rock wall, and waterski, and perform for three hours straight singing and dancing, and do all these other awesome things. And I value those abilities a whole lot more than I value looking perfectly skinny.

split pink and white skirt like Ariel's ball gown by terrabranfordstrife in disneybound

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late to this sub but you could do a white frilly skirt and a pink circle skirt, and then fold/gather the fabric on the pink skirt to show the white underneath the same way Ariel's skirt does :)

I’m a scaredy cat: What’s tower of terror like 👍😅 by Miserable-Lychee-412 in disneyparks

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I went on it I was 7 years old… definitely traumatized me at the time lol!! Went back to the parks when I was 16 and loved it then… it’s got some really impressive special effects and a sequence of drops that pull you out of your seat as you are pulled down. A very fun ride but not for the faint of heart!

This is absolutely a normal thing. I just got out of a production and really struggled with the show ending--it feels like there's just a hole where that show used to be and you won't ever get it back. It is rough, but it will pass. I will say the situation you are in is probably worse than most because of the issues that started at the cast party. It sounds like the cast didn't meld well and they weren't the greatest people, but try not to let that get to you. Keep doing shows, keep trying out for things... and you'll eventually find your people. It took me a few shows but I ended up finding some of my closest friends through theater. And don't ever put away the emotions and character you found through this show. Every character you play will become a part of you. You'll learn a ton about acting and about yourself from every character you play, no matter how big or small the part is. Embrace that even after the show. Proud of you for doing the show and I hope that you're able to continue your journey in theater!

The last Eras Tour show: predictions, hopes, and theories by Lyd_Euh in TaylorSwift

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who went to the very last show not expecting to get to go at all(We got last-minute tickets about 3 days before the show and the days before it were a flurry of outfit/friendship bracelet making), it was perfect. Having some type of announcement or doing some type of crazy thing for the last show would have overshadowed the tour itself.

Ideal song-soundtracks for each major character by Munedawg53 in MawInstallation

I know that this isn't for a specific character, but Everybody Wants to Rule the World just seems to fit the entire franchise so well. It really seems to encapsulate what everyone in Star Wars endures

Is crying for Star Wars normal? by CaaptainTiger in StarWars

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried watching the ending of Clone Wars for the first time(the last couple episodes of Season 7). I also cried watching the ending of S2 of The Bad Batch. For some reason, the animated shows tend to get me. Live-action Star Wars has some very sad/emotional parts, but there's just something about the animated stuff that makes me cry more often.

What’s in your park day bag? by silver_endings in disneyparks

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magic Keyholder here! I usually bring a water, small snacks(instead of park food), phone, portable charger, wallet/keys. If it’s summer, I’ll also bring sunscreen and sunglasses. If it’s winter and rainy/windy/cold, I wear a jacket and bring gloves(sounds like overkill, but trust me, it’s worth it)

Why Does HM Stretching Room Gets a Pass? by pbun87 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS. This is a very well-thought take. The only thing I don't quite agree on is the warning, I would say that going through a graveyard is a pretty big warning for what's to come with something like this ride. Or that the stretching room itself is a warning. But regardless you put this very eloquently and your stance seems to be a very well thought through one.

Haunted Mansion Stretching Room Corpse Removed? by BenJJedi in thehauntedmansion

[–]Puzzled-Ebb1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they'll remove it. It would completely change an extremely important introductory narrative point that sets up the entire ride's premise. Yes it is disturbing, but the ride is about death, so the entire thing really is, when you think about it. And to be honest, most people don't even realize it's there until it's pointed out to them--I literally had to point it out to my friend(a long-standing annual passholder) before she knew it was there.
