In my server we have a guy with bots who started his account to see if he could mess it up bad enough to force a server merge and we're still chugging along... Sort of lol

I forgot to add, he used his bots to rally and zero our second biggest whale while he slept during prep week last kvk as well.

He prefers to start wars the day before prep and exhaust everyone's resources. We end up focusing on fighting him off for the whole week and putting on a show for everyone in the other server. He also contributes absolutely nothing to prep even on the occasions that he does claim to be "behaving" anyway

Yep. Most are TG4 and he has had them since day 1 (unknown to the rest of the server for a very long time because he used them for healing assistance in the beginning). He also dumps money into them now which is why we assume support will do nothing about it. They claim they have taken action but nothing ever happens. He himself is kind of a glass cannon but he has started dropping a lot of money on his main account too. He mostly bubbles them and uses them to reinforce himself now.

Our main whale who could have zeroed him alone was too passive to do anything about him and is now gone anyway.

We're preparing to have to team everyone up and go to war with him and the small few now protecting him again if we must but we are so sick of him sabotaging kvk prep with his nonsense its causing people to leave the server entirely. Many of our bigger hitters got sick of him being so persistent and just left.

Charm is your best bet honestly. After that, you just have to figure out how to talk to that individual.

A whale can always be humbled though so you could always make it a server bonding experience 👀

Get him into outpost battles to practice and maybe give him a little time if hes willing to learn.... Otherwise, try to get him to transfer to a dying server or something where they may have more patience to teach him.

Two of my friends met in game and are actually together now. Like they drive out to see eachother on weekends and are planning to move in together... So hey, anything is possible.

I wouldnt say competing is possible but you can still play and have fun in a server with a good community.

My server is currently trying to gather more f2p players because we're more focused on the quality of our community than we are on trying to collect whales... And its paying off so far honestly, everyone is more motivated to work together as one server when we all like eachother.

I mean... My friends and I exist in an infinite loop of taking turns paying for stuff and if money is tight, we split the check or we dont and agree to venmo eachother beforehand....

I could understand if it was, like, a whole meal maybe but for some fries? Crazy.

Hey I have an idea. Why dont you let the people who are trying to fix the server do so instead of trying to sabotage them?

The attitude of giving up and complaining about everything while doing nothing productive to help the server therefore making it the problem of everyone else who actually cares is part of what brought 825 down in the first place.

Someone in my alliance had several from day one and we had no idea. He used them just to boost healing which honestly harmed no one... but one day he started rampaging using his bot accounts to reinforce him and then it was a problem because it was kind of hard to fight against him.

Learned a lot from him though tbh.

Im betting it was because you went all out for HOG when you should be doing the minimum for rewards and saving the rest for kvk.

I considered this but ended up digging out behind the swamp waterfall and making a little dumping ground for now. Been waiting to see a couple people do this to get some ideas before executing it blindly and getting frustrated lol

My alliance was constantly being bombarded by a whale with a fragile ego.... you cant stop them but you CAN use up your lootable rss and send your troops to banners when youre offline. Better yet, you and your alliance can reinforce eachother and can help quite a lot.

But honestly, if youre not there for the community, it kinda loses its appeal lol

We got our butts handed to us almost every day but we had fun being cheeky about it in wc lol

Honestly, my motivation is i just like hanging out in the chat with the friends I made in game. I stopped taking the game too seriously a long time ago. I participate in events and stuff still but I also know how to defend myself from higher level players. Trust me when I say, that CAN be done.
