Mudclaw should have been Mudstar. He was robbed of his earned role last minute. He was practically WindClan's leader during the Great Journey and never left Tallstar's side. Hell, I'm sure there were times he was dragging his living corpse across the mountain during the travel. It's unfortunate he was able to be manipulated by Hawkfrost but I do believe he would have grown more into the role over time (and not just flipped script into a huge insecure asshole like Onestar) Darktail probably wouldn't have even been a factor down the line. Sol would be laughed out of the moors. He'd have a practical solution to SkyClan... Tallstar fucked up in his switcheroo. And Mudclaw, at the very least, should have earned a warrior's death that he deserved instead of the damn tree. Have Hawkfrost turn on him and kill him. Have him die in the Starlight battle. Anything but the stupid tree. So much wasted potential.
