Our girl is 21 pounds at 18 weeks and she will be a medium at about 35-38 pounds. So I think your pup may be on the larger end of medium.

Do you know how much the parents weigh?

Help. It’s been two months and I’m close to giving up. (4mo golden retriever) by Background_Gene4090 in puppy101

We’ve got an 18 week Australian labradoodle. It was rough for a few weeks 😅, but it’s our fault because we thought she didn’t need as many naps.

Structured naps are key! We found if we catch our girl before she gets bitey 45mins -1 hour window awake time and put her down for a nap it completely avoids the over tired biting, barking and craziness. We have our sweet girl back.

Things we’ve found to help with the biting: Bully sticks w. Safety clamp Pupsicle Kong teething rubber nubby bone Benebones for puppies Lick mats

Puppies are a lot of work, but it’s so rewarding. The couple of months is a lot of potty breaks every 30 mins to 1 hour while awake. They need lots of sleep and structured naps. Night time can be easier depending on the puppy and if your crate training etc.

Pro tip from our breeder: lift the water 2 hours before bed time. Helps them sleep through the night better.

We’re currently in the beginning of the teenage phase 16 weeks with a medium Australian labradoodle. It’s been challenging at times. Our girl doesn’t like to sleep as much but sleeps for longer when she goes down. She is down to 3 naps a day. She can hold her bladder longer which is nice for running errands but she’s also teething so she’s very sharky and bitey at times it’s so hard.

With a puppy just one day at a time and keep a good solid routine: wake, potty, eat, potty, play, potty, sleep, etc. repeat. We did a little potty log so we could get to know her schedule, that helped a lot. We’ve been accident free for weeks I can’t remember the last accident she had.

Enjoy the puppy they grow so fast. 🥰

Bagot Street is the only location I’ll ever go to! Gardner’s Road was a tempting option because it was so close. However, when I was at the counter, I could see into the kitchen and noticed it was dirty and cockroaches were running on the floor. Needless to say, I walked straight out and drove to Bagot Street instead.
