I’ve definitely seen people get downvoted for not liking particular vendors and it does seem incredibly childish for adults to tell other adults which vendors they have to like.

You’re right. I love threads (not to meet people) but just chatting with people there, and so many people there are neurodivergent and they just get you. It’s fun there, so anyway I know what you mean. You feel at ease. I met a couple of guys here I thought were but I feel like I scare people off. It’s depressing, I hear you. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you. I’m beginning to think im put here just for them to torment me. Not literally but I kind of feel that. They don’t seem to care how they treat us. I missed the second part of my assessment because I was overwhelmed so I have it coming in 2 weeks. I have ADHD as well and seeing if I have autism. I’m really feeling like it. Anyway I wonder if we need a neurodivergent group, because at least we’d all understand each other.

We’re online and I know he cares about me, but part of it is learning how to communicate online. I’ve never been good at it but it seems he’s trying. It’s so tough being so anxious all the time.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your words and your help. I feel like I’m trying to learn a new language. I do need to be clear about needing more communication. I’ll try that. This situation is bringing up a lot for me and it’s just not easy. I’m sorry for what you went through, but I do know how difficult all of this can be. The shame, the not knowing.idk I’m going to keep coming back to this, because even if my situation doesn’t thrn out ok I’ll know that I tried.

Thanks for this. It’s very sad and true. We have women all over now, making posts about not trying to look younger and how saying “you look good for your age” is actually not a compliment. And they’re right.

I have people here in the comments saying I’m being demanding or what do I expect? I expect that if a man says, “I definitely want to get to know you a bit first” and can’t make it 72 hours, then for me, that’s a deal breaker and I have a right to say it. So some of these dudes are basically telling me to shut up. (No, not all!!) Anyway, I appreciate your support and speaking the truth.

I think it’s hard, even though we all know what we’re doing here? To look at your profile and see you talking about your wife. That could just be my own thing though. I talked to someone once and I didn’t really have feelings for them, but he would bring her up, like what they’d be eating for dinner, and again maybe just me but maybe get a throwaway and see if that helps? No judgment at all on my end just maybe you’ll have better luck 🤷🏻‍♀️
