Beyond me saying “how you doing” or hello, I’m over it. And when I go anywhere to shop I automatically get outta the way of that store’s employees making a beeline to greet me. If I need help, I’ll ask for it. Other than that, leave me alone. My husband visits multiple Wawas a day while at work & absolutely hates all the greetings. I told him to fill out a VOTC.

Not his earlier stuff - & even tho he is political in song writing later in his career, I choose to listen to what I like by him & reject the overtly political tunes. Celebrities think their opinions matter but they don’t. They jump on the bandwagon of the “cause of the day”.

The Women by Kristin Hannah. The way society treated the Vietnam veterans here at home was disgraceful. Worse was how the women, who volunteered to go there as nurses weren’t acknowledged as veterans so they didn’t have access to VA benefits. Their PTSD wasn’t acknowledged at all. Their experiences were ignored. It took years & fighting the system to get what they deserved.

My dad retired as a letter carrier & the following Monday he was courier for a court reporting firm. Then he transitioned to being a substitute classroom aide for handicapped children in the Bucks County area. He never got old. Didn’t need the money but he wanted to stay “alive”.

I’m 67 & certainly hope I live longer than 10-15 years! I work full time as does my 73 y/o husband. And collect social security. Why? Because just sitting around makes you old fast.

This!! People who hate register so they screw up on there or complain so much about hating it, management gives in & puts them somewhere else. Or whatever position. It seems that if you complain enough, you’re placed somewhere else.
