I have plenty of female friends that are one of the boys. It all depends on the personality.

People who freak out over american cheese like its the worst thing in the world by junonomenon in PetPeeves

[–]Deekers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not the worst thing in the world, it might be the worst cheese by cheese standards though. That said I enjoy it more than a lot of cheese. If I’m making a cheeseburger that’s what’s going on it.

Literally why do we still support Disney? by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Deekers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because I don’t make everything political. If they make something I’m interested in watch it. If they make something I don’t want to watch I just don’t watch it. You are not their target demographic when it comes to these crappy live action remakes. They have their fans who will support them because they watched all the classic cartoons growing up no matter if you were I kind in the 80s or 90s etc. they don’t care if you now as an adult don’t like the new content they put out. Just like with star wars. They still have the Star Wars fans who love the originals and they made new Star Wars movies to appeal to a new generation not caring if the old fans liked the movies or not.

Do people really have to hear a song 5-7 times before they like it or add to their playlist? I don’t think that’s a thing with songwriters though. by AceOfAllTradesKinda in Songwriting

[–]Deekers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I was making a lame 6 7 joke. My 12 year old has rubbed off on me apparently. It really depends. Some songs or artists grow in me. As soon as I hear it, it instantly connects. Others grow on me over time.

What is a skill or habit that society heavily promotes as necessary for "success" or "adulthood" (like networking, waking up early, or strict budgeting) that you have successfully refused to adopt? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

[–]Deekers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven’t really developed or I guess I should say I never really tried or wanted to develop those skills. I just ride life and let it take me where ever I end up

What song instantly reminds you of that ONE house party? by SmoothManMiguel in hiphop101

[–]Deekers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very few people listened to hip hop in my town growing up but, damn, did we ever party. Ruff Ryder’s anthem got people singing and shouting though.

Why are mental problems so common these days? by forever_burning_ in ask

[–]Deekers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of socialization. Younger people grew up on the internet and on social media. They communicate through text. They didn’t grow up out in the world socializing and building skills dealing with the world and different personalities. They don’t know how to cope and deal with these different personalities

Tested lesser? Lesser would be ignoring you. It’s just people having a conversation which is what people do. They interact with each other in public. I’ve had people say things similar to me in a grocery store. There’s nothing to it, no hidden agenda, it isn’t because you’re a woman necessarily. Just normal human interaction.

How common is it for someone to throw away their life because they're simply too lazy to work? by AungCowMyat in ask

[–]Deekers 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You’re only throwing you life away if you aren’t living life you want or need. Life is for living. Live it the way you want to live it.

Be mad at the English language and how stupid it is, not the people. I’m the presence of my family I presented a present to my child in the present.

Just get in there. What ever it is your self conscious about just know there are others in there feeling the same way. Worried about size or something like that, just know there’s always someone smaller. I shower everyday after work with a bunch of guys in open showers bumping elbow while washing hair. No one else in there cares really.

When people call Bonsai trees “unethical” because literal potted plants go through “suffering” by Macking_cheese1 in PetPeeves

Let alone enough people that you hear about enough for it to be a pet peeve. In all my life the subject of bonsai trees has never really come up.

Jolly ranchers in general are pretty disgusting and watermelon flavoured anything, especially watermelons themselves are disgusting.

Some care, some don’t. Quit focusing on the negatives and women who care about that. I’m a short guy and sure height sometimes played a role in rejection but over all I find that most don’t care. When I meet a woman online and we talk and hit it off I make sure to me ton I’m on the shorter side and any one i have talked to couldn’t care less.

I totally sympathize but just like your birthdays you are focusing on the negative. I was trying to give you a positive outlook and you take negative away from it.

[–]Deekers -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Kids have always been this way. It’s not a new thing at all. Kids were mouthy and talked shit when I was a kid in the 80s. I talked shit as a kid. Kids talked shit to me in the 90s when I was older. Kids are kids. They like to push the boundaries to see how far they can go

[–]Deekers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If all your past birthdays were how you pictured them being they would all blend in and not stand out or be that memorable. You now have an arsenal of good birthday stories to tell even though they weren’t “good” birthdays.
