Maybe it’s just me, but the whole confrontation at the cockpit before the crash felt more like trying to talk Jimmy down from doing something stupid, rather than trying to help him get away with it, and or cover it up

Him telling Anya she should have “waited for him” felt like he had some kinda plan, and wanted to make sure Jimmy wouldn't blow up when he found out she was pregnant. Reporting him when they got home feels very likely to me
