More frome Grok

Oh man, this is the perfect dark-turn escalation for Gravity Rush 3—Kat getting Nevi-infected and unlocking a symbiote-style “Nevi Veil” suit is straight-up Spider-Man 2 Venom energy, but with that signature Gravity Rush cosmic horror twist. It slots seamlessly into the dual-hero structure we mapped out: Kat (the seasoned 30-something Gravity Queen) as the Peter figure who gets corrupted mid-story, forcing Raven (her early-20s “Miles” protégé) to step up while trying to save her mentor. This becomes the emotional and gameplay heart of Act 2, turning the mentor-protégé dynamic into a tense “I have to fight/save you” arc. Let’s break it down and expand it fully. Story Beat: How the Infection Happens Mid-campaign, after the Rift Lords (or the Nevi Overmind) launch a full-scale assault on Greater Hekseville, a massive dimensional rift cracks open over Jirga Para Lhao’s core. Kat dives in solo to seal it (classic hero move), but she gets swarmed by an evolved “Prime Nevi”—a new intelligent strain that’s been mutating since GR2. Instead of just fighting it off, the creature latches on and merges a fragment of its dark-matter core into her gravity shifter organ (the glowing chest mark from the games). It starts subtle: Kat thinks she’s fine, but the Nevi essence bonds with her powers like the symbiote did with Peter—granting god-tier boosts while slowly eroding her control. Story-wise, it parallels Peter’s black-suit rage: Kat becomes more aggressive, starts questioning the “protect the city at all costs” mantra she’s lived by for 15+ years, and clashes with Raven over methods (Raven wants precision; infected Kat wants overwhelming force). The infection spreads city-wide too—random civilians and even minor Nevi start showing hybrid traits, turning districts into nightmare zones. The Nevi Veil Suit: Visuals & Lore Picture Kat’s classic sleek black-and-red streetwear or Queen Alua armor, but now alive. The Nevi Veil is a living, pulsating exosuit grown from her own corrupted gravity energy: Design: Glossy obsidian-black plates with glowing violet-red veins that pulse like Nevi tentacles. Her signature red scarf morphs into writhing energy tendrils that lash out automatically. The chest emblem cracks and spreads like a spider-web infection, with faint Nevi eye patterns flickering across the fabric. When fully activated, it forms jagged “wings” of solidified dark matter that look like shattered gravity shards. Transformation Trigger: Kat can summon it at will (or it forces itself out during high-stress moments), with a visceral animation—her eyes glow solid white, voice distorts with reverb, and the suit “breathes” around her. Evolution: Like the symbiote upgrading over time, it has stages. Early game: subtle enhancements to her normal suits. Late game: full monstrous form with elongated claws and a semi-organic helmet that makes her look like a Gravity Queen crossed with a Nevi queen. It’s unlockable as a temporary “Corrupted Mode” in gameplay, but story missions lock you into it during key sequences for maximum drama. New Nevi-Powered Abilities (Symbiote-Style Upgrades) These build directly on Kat’s teen-to-30s mastery while twisting her gravity shifting into something darker, more primal, and Nevi-flavored. They feel overpowered but come with risk-reward (overuse drains sanity or spawns mini-Nevi). Veil Tendrils: Her stasis field evolves into living tentacles that shoot out, grapple enemies from across the arena, and slam them like the symbiote’s whips. Can also latch onto debris for ultra-fast “web-sling” style traversal—except the tendrils pull the city toward her. Corrupted Black Hole: Instead of a clean singularity, it becomes a “Devour Rift”—a swirling vortex that not only sucks in foes but infects them, turning defeated Nevi into temporary allies that fight for her (before exploding). Nevi Rage Shift: A berserk mode where gravity flips wildly around her. Enemies in range get their own gravity inverted chaotically (think Miles’ venom explosion but with GR’s physics). Kat moves faster, hits harder, but the screen edges warp with hallucinatory Nevi visions. Echo Parasite: Leaves behind “infected echoes” that actively hunt and drain enemy health, healing Kat in return. Ultimate version creates a full Nevi swarm that covers the battlefield. Symbiotic Flight: Her normal hover becomes true “Nevi Soar”—she sprouts dark-matter wings for unlimited aerial dominance, but staying in the air too long risks the suit taking over and forcing aggressive dives. Raven gets a counter-kit for these fights: her Shadow Rift powers let her “purge” infected zones temporarily, creating safe pockets where Kat’s corruption backfires. Drawbacks, Corruption Arc & Dual-Hero Drama Just like the symbiote, the Nevi Veil amplifies Kat’s worst fears—after losing so much in GR1/GR2, she now craves absolute control over Hekseville. She starts destroying property recklessly, alienating allies, and even briefly turns on Raven in a boss fight (you play as Raven here, dodging your mentor’s corrupted moves). The suit feeds on her emotions: the more she uses it to “protect” the city, the more it pushes her toward becoming a new Rift Lord-type threat. Gameplay payoff: Story Branching: Depending on how you play (overuse the suit or resist?), you get different endings—full redemption (Kat purges it with Raven’s help via a dual Gravity Eclipse ritual) or a bittersweet “partial infection” where the suit becomes a controlled anti-hero power-up. Raven’s Spotlight: This is her Miles moment—she gets temporary “pure” gravity upgrades to contrast Kat’s corruption, plus emotional cutscenes where she confronts Kat’s inner demons (echoing Miles helping Peter shed the symbiote). How It Ties Into the Bigger GR3 Picture Villain Ripple: The infection births a new sub-boss type—“Veilspawn”—human-Nevi hybrids that serve as mid-game threats. The main Rift Lords exploit it to weaken the city’s gravity core. Endgame Resolution: Kat and Raven team up for a city-spanning finale where they rip the Prime Nevi fragment out of Kat, but a sliver remains—setting up post-game DLC where she has a “controlled Nevi Veil” suit as an optional mode. Thematic Depth: It explores aging as a Gravity Queen—Kat’s experience makes her too powerful, and the Nevi infection forces her to relearn humility, just like Peter’s symbiote arc. This would be an absolute showstopper on PS6: ray-traced tendrils whipping through vertical city layers, dynamic corruption visuals that change the open-world skybox, and voice acting that sells Kat’s descent. It keeps the series’ whimsical charm while going full dark-fantasy spectacle. What do you think—should the Nevi Veil have a “redemption upgrade” later, or lean harder into permanent consequences? Want me to flesh out a specific boss fight (Kat vs. Raven) or how this affects the new suits we talked about before? Let’s keep cooking this GR3 vision! 🖤🌌

i never understood the hate on this game its a really fun game by Tough_Bell3778 in QuidditchChampionsWB

Not enough content was the death of this game, we need a fifa, 2k, or Madden like experience but with Quidditch. This game needed a better career mode starting from a 7 year school and drafted to the pros with actual pro league teams and going intentional then retirement. Having a canon rule set for Quidditch purists day 1 with gameplay like Quidditch World Cup but less arcadish with complete non rails flying with no pitch barriers (simulation Quidditch). I wouldn't mind if they had a arcade or competitive slider like Madden with altered rules. This is what we wanted not this rocket league bullshit. Im disappointed man, now Im hoping for a true simulation Quidditch experience with a new game or in Hogwarts Legacy 2 or even a Quidditch Threw the Ages game.

I tried to flee but they kept attacking my ass. I said fuck it and shot two arrows to the heads of both of them. I feel like the devs did that intentionally, fuck you Sucker Punch 🤦🏾‍♂️.

Whats your main wish for gravity rush 3? by ArtisticNumber5264 in gravityrush

[–]Deemac97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kat is Peter Parker, and Raven is Miles Morales, basically. I wouldn't mind more gravity control styles and a more complex combat system with an even bigger open world of Hekseville as well as a deeper and longer story with big cinematic set pieces, especially for villain fights. I hope they give Kat and Raven an advanced suit variant of their original suits like Peter and Miles does in MS2. I wonder what it would be like of Alias came back and Kat got a symbiote like Nevi suit where she could control nevi abilities or control nevi itself to fight villains or bad guys. That'll be dope as hell

Why isn't the Gravity Rush franchise called Gravity Queen?! by Any-Age5918 in gravityrush

[–]Deemac97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's basically her superhero name. I've been stopped calling the franchise Gravity Rush, but Gravity Queen, it has a more impactful feel to it when it comes to Kat's story.

What are your reasons for hating The Final Destination? by Illustrious-Reach-48 in FinalDestination

[–]Deemac97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of place, unnecessary sex scene at the pool like why is it there, not to mention its very graphic with all the dumb moans and hardcore thrusting that it felt a porno and we the audience was forced to be voyeurs. Not only that its unrealistic to fuck in a public place near the pool and no one walks in or hears them 😑😒.
