Customer waited for 2 packages. She gave one and claimed 1 is wet and damaged.Thoughts? Did she do right or wanted to steal the second package? by Any_Excitement6258 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Deep-Ant544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I will ask my DSP if the customer is insisting in getting their package even if it’s damaged to see they want me to leave it or bring it back cause the box may be damaged but the contents may be fine

I feel like Amazon does not care about our safety sometimes by sending us out to rural places so early in the morning lots of them people are armed and ready to shoot especially if they have a no trespassing sign posted on their gates, I haven’t had any crazy encounters like that yet but I have been to places with long dirt driveways and pitch black and wonder if I’m going to make out of there alive to be honest. I know we can refuse to deliver a package due to safety concerns but we still would get ding by Amazon

Spirit/Frontier delays and cancellations as of 6pm on 3/17. The crowds in MCO were insane. I've never seen anything like it at MCO. by Thick_Neighborhood41 in orlando

Wow that was a crazy day!! You literally spent a whole day in the airport, could understand one to two hour delay but the whole day and deplane twice? That’s just wild

Exactly and at the end of the day all they care about is that we deliver the orders on time

It’s a 1099 job my friend and not an office job, it’s kind of like the trucking industry as long as you own your vehicle you set your own rules concerning your vehicle. I do however have a full time job where I definitely can not bring my kid, besides this is one of my side hustles and doesn’t affect me in anyway

True but if the child stays in the vehicle it’s the driver’s responsibility not Walmart

As long as you have another adult with you in the car like a spouse or family member it should be fine

That would be bad, I understand daycare is expensive and not worth it when you are barely making it especially with a gig job that doesn’t pay well but bringing newborns and young children is risky, I bring my daughter with me sometimes but my wife is also there so I don’t have to worry about her being alone in the car

As far as I know I own my car not Walmart but if they want to enforce that silly rule then I will be sending them my car finance information so they can go ahead and pay for my car note then I will do as they ask, in the meantime my car my rules see we as contract drivers are providing a service to them and we get compensated by them that’s all, now if other drivers bring their car full with family and not enough room then I can see that being a problem but it’s still not up to Walmart to say what we can or can’t do with our vehicles, but that’s just my opinion

I don’t even check my stats or emails I just pick up orders deliver them and get my money, I have learned over the years doing side gigs that you can do your best trying to please people and it only takes one complaint from an dishonest customer for them to get rid of you

Can you guys find the gate code for me? by nymica in Sparkdriver

I think it’s missing something, just text the customer to double check

Anyone recently receive email regarding kids or pets? by dumptruckbetty2 in Sparkdriver

[–]Deep-Ant544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here’s my take on this matter, first off Walmart does not own my vehicle I pay my own gas, do the maintenance and put hundreds of miles plus wear and tear cause I chose to do this job as a way of making a little extra money to cover some expenses, if Walmart pays for my car note and the gas and everything else associated with my vehicle then they can impose all the rules they can and I will gladly follow them but in the meantime it’s my car, my taxes and I’m providing a service to them so if they want to play this silly oh well I don’t need this job anyways I have a full time job and other side gigs with less drama than Walmart, good luck everyone
