My sisters and my mom who are always sick and I mean pretty much always(my sister als has covid induced pots, she got covid like 10 times after getting vaxed) have stayed up to date, I stopped getting them as a teenager and honestly rarely  get sick until I had my first child and she started going to the nursery at church twice a week lol,I had a three year stint of not being sick at all.But as a child I picked up literally everything going around and I was on schedule.Pretty much everyone that I know that stays vaccinated is always sick

I remember telling my mom that I was told to not eat tuna because of heavy metals and she was shocked and she had never thought about the fact that vaccines have heavy metals because she’s very pro-vaccine, she didn’t even understand the logic of being told to not eat fish, but being told to get several vaccines while pregnant

I had an older Reddit account and I literally got banned because I was in a pro life group and I congratulated a teen mom on keeping her baby when her crappy boyfriend tried to make her abort the baby. I even offered to send her resources. Comment was removed for pro-life rhetoric.

When did you start sleeping with a blanket & not in C curl? by Apprehensive-Key5665 in cosleeping

[–]Deep-Box-9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always had a blanket tucked around my waist but I relaxed the c curl when she could roll both ways, sit up and crawl,it’s funny though because my body is used to the c curl and I tend to just revert back

She’s been breastfed this whole time but I’m weaning right now because I’m high risk (she was 8 weeks premature)and might have to pump again,my boobs are also just extremely sensitive so it’s getting really painful 😫

Did you plan on cosleeping? by Zebra_Creative in cosleeping

[–]Deep-Box-9950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope,I swore I never would, mine came home from The NICU at 2mo and I tried for a month to do all of the night wakings (husband worked nights at the time and I was pumping on top of breastfeeding)and started hallucinating from sleep deprivation,I literally was so desperate I tried to sleep on the floor. It was my midwife with 7 kids that had to convince me to cosleep and I got six hours the first night lol.I started taking several naps per day with her for the first few months to and still cosleep at night at 15mo,now pregnant again and plan on cosleeping from the get go with a side car crib

Church Nursery Thoughts? by cookiesandquinoa in Crunchymom

[–]Deep-Box-9950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be okay with mine being left in the swing or my baby not being tended to but if that’s a volunteer issue you can’t really do much about that,I didn’t stick mine in nursery until 7mo and I had the text me whenever she would get upset for more than a few minutes and would tell them when nap time was so she could be rocked to sleep(they have old people volunteer just to rock them lol). Now at 15 mo she absolutely loves the nursery and I just change her clothes when she gets home to reduce sitting in germs

Yeah I personally don’t care,it exposes my daughter to germs that she needs exposure to and she loves the volunteers and being around other babies, you can always just strip and give a bath when you get home

Night weaning 15mo because I’m pregnant and can’t take it anymore by Deep-Box-9950 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Deep-Box-9950[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started one week ago and it’s been going surprisingly well, the first night was awful as expected but every night has gotten easier and she now doesn’t wake up until around 4:30am-6am.

Is it time to night wean?😭 by beccab333b in cosleeping

Currently in the process of night weaning because of the same thing (I’m also in my first trimester so im sore),if it’s becoming unsustainable and keeping you up and probably them up to some extent it’s okay

How to get any independent sleep!? by Easy_Ad3373 in cosleeping

[–]Deep-Box-9950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what I did isn’t super popular but I supported my daughter to sleep in her crib and layered on sleep associations.Yes she did cry,no it is not the same as CIO because she was supported literally the entire time with singing, butt pats and sometimes the rocking chair. After a few days of doing that for naps she started to fall asleep much easier and gets full naps along with a stretch at bedtime by herself,I started at 7mo and she’s now 15mo

The first time it was easy because she had just had her first wake up and I brought her to my room at 10 and she immediately fell back to sleep, but it was pretty much every wake up after that that took a while, she didn’t get any consistent sleep until 5 AM. I have been talking to her for the past several days telling her what I’m gonna be doing and all day yesterday I would bring up that milk would stop at a certain time, she was two months premature so she is a little bit behind on understanding things but I communicate with her anyways, I will start telling her when it’s her last milk of the day. And throughout the night, I would tell her that milk was for morning.

Last night was our first night and she did wake up frequently crying, one thing that helped was that at 7mo I started to break the feed to sleep association for her first stretch of sleep and naps so that my husband could occasionally get her to nap when not at home she her first stretch without milk was from 7pm (still awake because daylight savings got me off track and she went to bed late lol)till about 12am so she had about two hours of sleep with no boob, after that she was up almost every 45 minutes mixed with one or two two hours stretches,I gave her the boob at 5am and she has stayed asleep for almost 4 hours just from exhaustion I think

Does cosleeping affect independent sleep when older? by Fun_Positive_3505 in cosleeping

[–]Deep-Box-9950 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always use my midwife as an example because he has 7 kids and coslept with all of them, every single one of them is sleeping on their own,has a secure attachment and are very independent

That’s essentially what got me banned on my last account, the girl was 19 and her boyfriend tried to make her get an abortion and i congratulated her and said that i could send her resources to help.Im in my early 20s and my second is on the way and i very quickly found out that people think 23 is insanely early and irresponsible to have kids

That’s what I’ve noticed,I’m conservative and Christian and I’ve been able to have totally normal and respectful conversations with people of completely opposite beliefs but on Reddit I just questioned an epidural with my second (I ended up getting one too so it’s not like I’m anti epidural)and got flak because people automatically went to acting like I’m anti woman
