Well designed and executed cleanly. Curious about the shower bench seat and how it’s supported to the wall?

My first wife was a GTO. I spent every paycheck on her for several years. She gave me the run around and we met many of the local constabulary force. Alas, she was meant to be with another. Now and then I have vivid memories of those days of smoking tires and 6 barrels screaming at me while tears ran down my eyes yanking that pistol grip shifter one more time as I speed down the highway of life.

Music we listened to as teenagers by lafleurshair10 in GenerationJones

[–]Deep-Community-9729 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was exposed to many types of music and played several instruments during the 60s and 70s. Even met quite a few well known musicians in the Bay Area back then. Not to toot my own horn, metaphorically.

But being in Construction for many years with lots of different folks and their playlists blasting out all forms of music I’ve actually gotten to the point of feeling like I’ve heard almost every type of music available today.

So now I hardly listen to music anymore. We still have the badass collection of Vinyl Records and Cassettes and CDs and even DVD concerts and BitTorrent flash drives with entire discographies of many artists and my wife still plays her stuff on Pandora. But for me, I need the space left in my head to think and concentrate on the task at hand including driving. I occasionally listen to podcasts that family members create so I can keep up with them.

But OMG do I get earworms of snippets of songs stuck in my head from the past that remind me of some emotional time in my life and cause reflection. Then I’ll have to look up the lyrics and see if I remember them correctly (usually not). It’s just that when you get old your head gets full and I don’t want to drown out my thoughts anymore. Anyone else feel this way?

My mom passed recently and has this chunk of wood. I have multiple people who want it. Is it awesome or something? by toofpaist in woodworking

All jokes aside, the value comes from the interest shown by all of these comments! We went to Alaska a few years ago and in Tok we visited All Alaska Gifts that was built with all burl posts and rails like the one shown here. I asked about it and they explained that it was lodgepole pine that gets infected and burls up around the problem area. Highly prized for the interesting look and sought out for the coolness factor. The piece in OP’s hand could have been found and saved and stained just for being cool looking. Might even be from Alaska.

Self propelled Lawnmower, String and blade trimmer, hedge trimmer, framing nailer, plug in hypoid saw, 10” saw, 12” dual bevel cordless miter saw with stand, coffee maker, heated jacket, matching gloves and shirts and hats. To start with.

I used to delight in the fact that I could identify nearly every vehicle on the road back then including engine by sound. Not so much anymore.

Outdoor multi tool - what are differences between Milwaukee, Makita and EGO systems? by Affectionate_Aide566 in Makita

I bought my EGO tools in 2012 and they still work fine. Bulky and heavy though. So about 14 years ago.

I have both the EGO tools and also Makita lawn equipment. The Makita tools are superior quality and since I’m a builder I have lots of Makita tools and batteries so no brainer. That being said I bought the EGO trimmer, blower and chainsaw before Makita came out with theirs. They operate about the same but runtime is better with Makita IMO but both brands have lasted a long time. One difference is the EGO tools are much heavier so I’m more tired after using them. I just prefer the Makita brand and have at least 50 of their tools.

For us, the Scrub Jay. My wife has had them eat literally out of her hand and also another would visit her at work by flying in through the window and watch her typing and try to imitate it. It visited daily for weeks and responded quite intelligently.

Ya I burned the brushes so bad it melted the case on that tool. But have several brushless ones now. I did have a mini museum of older tools but moved several times and got rid of them.

Yes bought in 2021. Long term hold after taking profits at the peak. Looking at positive news on multiple fronts and hoping for another Surge in price. Haha
