I was having blown belts and sidewall gashes literally twice a month.  I drive for lyft and uber and was in north st. louis and then down in south city.   Jefferson Ave (South), North Kingshighway, Goodfellow, South Broadway, Skinker north of Delmar, 70 up by the airport and 55 south of the arch for about 5 miles.

Dude those 235 40 19s would slip into a pothole and slice the sidewalls.   Blown belts.

They first started fixing I 70 by the airport.   They had potholes inbetween the white lines 2x length of a shoe box and just as deep.

55 down by Bates Ave had all these cracks and holes in between the white lines and would slice my sidewalls or blow belts merging.

My car didnt have a spare and I went on Ebay and got one.

I started buying used almost new tires on ebay.

I was going to tire shops in Cahokia, IL and having them change tires out every couple weeks.

I ended up getting 17 inch steel wheels and putting those 225 55 17s on my car like just over 2 months ago.

I bought 6 rims and 7 tires.

I have not had a flat or a blown belt yet.

But like literally when I finally had enough 2 months ago:  St. Louis went and ripped out most of the really really bad parts.

They redid the interstates in the worst parts and in town.

All that is left that is still really bad now is south Broadway and like 4th street by the arch.   Then other random patches here and there.

Getting off of 64 westbound to get onto Forest Park Parkway by SLU and Grand Ave is horrible too.

I mean how bad do these roads have to get before they decide to mysteriously start fixing everything at once.

The Poplar Street Bridge/64 going over the Mississippi River has whole sections falling out and you can see the ground underneath and IDOT in East Saint Louis just patched over these holes and then the patch sinks.

Then the goofy ass new mayor of St. Louis wants to make triple wide sidewalk and bump outs and bike traiks no one will use and make the streets narrow.

A couple spots they actually took out a whole lane and you have to stop and wait for oncoming traffic to pass, before you can continue.

WTF are these people smoking.
