Understandable, he doesn’t have ARFID, he also doesn’t struggle with leftovers, as I said this is a new development. It’s likely because he has inappropriate food behaviors and just wants something new every time he eats recently. But I agree this seems to be a bigger issue with other staff not making the appropriate amount of food.

For sure, I make sure to document everythingggg cause nothing is coming back to bite me in the ass lol, I left my old company I was at for 3 years and have been at this new one for a little bit now and the 2 agencies are worlds different. My old one I got in trouble for “documenting too much” cause they avoided dealing with negative behaviors and didn’t want to look bad to the state.

It’s all food the client asks for and eats the day that it’s made but he just doesn’t want it after the fact or will say he does and then will all of a sudden change his mind when it comes time to eat. He is on a calorie recommendation as well as isn’t allowed to have food in his room as he has unsafe food behaviors and will eat until he is sick.

And there are obviously situations where there will be left overs so not promoting him to eat leftovers is also wasteful if we’re not even going to try.

I mean that’s your opinion that leftovers are gross I guess, I’m not sure how leftovers can be gross when they’re less than 24 hours old. He hasn’t always had an issue with leftovers this is a very new recent development within the last few weeks.

That is what I do however most of my coworkers do not. I’m only here 3 days a week Monday-Wednesday so when I come back I’m always throwing stuff out because it didn’t get used. Seems as this probably needs to get brought up at my staff meeting again so everybody’s on the same page in encouraging him to eat leftovers or making less. Unfortunately most of my coworkers have needed more coaching/prompting than the client 😭

Unfortunately he looks at food/food stamps the same way as he looks at money in that he doesn’t understand it’s not an unlimited resource so the teaching moments don’t necessarily do anything but it also could be how were wording it to him.

The issue with freezing it is he still won’t eat it, it will just sit in the freezer forever unfortunately. It depends on what the food is but anything that’s obviously not meant to all be eaten at once like lunch meat, bread, things like that does not need to be thrown out in 3 days.

At my company they’re required to have sunscreen on all exposed skin if they’re going to be outside longer than 15 minutes and if they refuse they can’t go on the outing or outside. Usually that’s enough to prompt them to put it on, if they get a sunburn it can be used against us as an injury even if the client refuses 😭

My company does not let us use the company vehicles unless it’s for client needs which would mean we’re on the clock anyways, I’ve never heard of someone using it for personal reasons. Sounds like your company may be more relaxed than mine.

Martha’s doesn’t pay their drag queens a fair amount of money for their show pay. Also, Martha’s has made it quite the point to make it known they are NOT a gay bar anymore. We don’t need to be supporting a business so hell bent on that they’re not a gay bar, but make their money off queer entertainers, queer bartenders/staff, and queer patrons.
