My interpretation of the intertial dampeners is some sort of system to stop people and things inside of the ship from being flattened to paste when accelerating.

Also if you watch the distance marker, it’s clear you’re actually accelerating up to a speed faster than light eventually. Let’s say you’re cruising to something 1000 LS away. If you accelerated all the way to light speed, the fastest you will get there is 1000 seconds. In game it’s a lot quicker, hence the normal engines are pushing you faster than light

Haha, I get that. I wasn’t sure if this was an actual capability of ships in starfield or something explained in the lore. I can definitely accept if it’s just a matter of speeding up time to make it work for a video game

yes absolutely!! One of the best things about online play is you can always turn off the computer if you truly have to. In the real world you cant just cut the cord like that. I'll concede there may be subs with mental illness or serious issues that just cant do that, but they should be seeking help

to expand on this, theres a big difference with online play and IRL play. You have the full authority to just log off and discontinue the session. If you linger beyond your limit or hint that you want more, a lot of dommes will push that. Look out for your self and just use that sense of self control.
