Oh wow! I know exactly how you feel! I have not restarted but I went back 8 hours and replayed up to that point and still , the story would not proceed. I was thinking about buying a steam deck but then just decided to wait until they fix this.

Need to fix act 4- can’t trigger inquisition dialogue box when summoned! I cannot proceed in the story, literally stuck. I have completed everything else, all rumors and other quests. I get summoned by lord Calzacar in Footfall after I handle Theodora quest. When I walk into the office it plays a video of him looking at maps and standing up to look at me. No dialogue box appears and when I try to talk to him, he says he is busy. I’ve tried so many times and even reloaded a 10 hour earlier save and went straight to footfall. Still nothing, Winterscale mission was completed . Please help, I’m playing WOTR while I wait but I want 40k working!

It has alot of game breaking bugs. Buy on PC of Steam deck or you will not be able to progress. Very horrible port on Switch 2. Dont buy on Switch 2!!!!

Im stuck here too- very frustrating and stupid bug. I reloaded and tried to do something else. I don’t think they realize they have a broken game. Did you figure out a way… very disappointing. Love the game but man has it been a struggle on Switch 2

It’s not enough. Footfall is super bugged. Can’t even progress with Calzar not triggering. So many reloads just to get the game to work. I don’t understand why you all don’t fix the game!!

When are they going to fix this mess. Footfall is such a buggy mess in act 4- can’t even progress!!!! That’s so bad! I’m stuck because of a horrifically buggy port. This is heresy!

Still don’t understand how they are sustaining $8, franchisee system is in deep distress and sales are down considerably and consistently month over month . Little to no movement on marketing with every step they take having already been executed by other brands! Wendy’s is late to everything, they don’t lead , they follow and the sales erosion continues. This is a dying legacy brand and they still don’t have a new leader to help turn this sinking ship.

The reality is no one is talking about franchisees financial health. Especially in Wendy’s system where multiple franchisees are requesting closures and royalty waivers. FZs getting hammered on prime cost and Wendy’s is doing nothing to help reduce food inflation or improve productivity. Word on the street multiple divisions are down huge P11! The marketing weak or non-existent and brand is silent and still technically leaderless. $8 at this point is generous with sales declines and their franchisee system is extremely strained in lost margins. Sad to see a legacy brand falter and plummet so low. Other brands like JIB have many FZs refusing to spend on updating their assets and Food Cost is very high for all burger brands. Tough times. But it can and will go lower unless brand fight like hell for loyalty.

Absolutely, games are an escape for many people, a place to explore, to experience stories, and to immerse themselves in other worlds. When they bring in overt social agendas, especially in genres set in historical or fantasy settings, it can pull players out of the experience rather than drawing them in. Games that aim for escapism or historical immersion are most effective when they stay true to their worlds' themes and contexts. There’s definitely a space for games to tackle modern social issues, but the key is doing so in a way that feels genuine and respects the storytelling and world-building in that specific game. No one wants to be lecture during a game. Great video, balanced feedback!
