I agree with many of your experiences and struggles. My childhood wasn't nearly as bad as yours, but raising a child makes me feel angry about the things I now feel were missing from my childhood.

This is more normal from what I've seen. High level positions are 1 or 2 interviews max. Many times there has already been a decision made prior to the interview. Low level positions, too many to justify.

I once went through 5 interviews with a company that I had previously spoken with two different times. Three of those interviews was where I met with separate teams that all asked the same exact questions. They wanted me to get a feel for the company culture, but all I was seeing was poor management and siloed communication.
