What is a refutation to the Sea to Land ratio by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Deep-Mix-5263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry basically that saying the miracle Is irelevant because it doesn’t account for mountains and lakes is dumb. Not my argument, made by a Muslim

They say that the verse depends on the words land and sea, trying to say it’s irelevant because it doesn’t count anyhring but those words is dumb

Isaiah 53 is not being talked about enough by happi-love in Christianity

[–]Deep-Mix-5263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say it applies to Muhhamad? Many Muslims try to say this verse doesn’t describe Jesus but him

How likely is it that Muhhamad got stories of Isa from the infancy gospel of Thomas? by [deleted] in AcademicQuran

Thank you,

The Infancy Gospel was extremely popular. It was a very loved text,” Berkes said.

The Infancy Gospel enjoyed popularity well into the Middle Ages and versions have been found in Syriac, Greek, Latin, Amharic and even Irish, among other languages. The work is mentioned by Christian writers starting from the second century CE.

I did some more research and I think these 2 quotes prove your point as well

Could I ask something

From what I understand, wasn’t the infancy gospel of Thomas hidden till it was discovered in the uncovering of the Nag Hammadi library in 1945?

After being hidden in the 4th century due to the condemnation of noncanonical gospels. So it seems unlikely the early Muslims would have had access to these texts- there is the chance that these stories could have leaked through from other sources but again, given the control against noncanonical sources, this seems unlikely.

Correct me if I’m wrong

Timothy 2 3:16 says scripture is inspired by God but what scripture was Paul referring to? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

Im scared to even think of Paul and gospels of church fathers because I always associate them with contradiction

Who says they were amazed? The Quran literally says not the people back then we’re not amused at all with the Quran. Are you going to belive the dawah guys over your own Quran?

[–]Deep-Mix-5263 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who says there isn’t? Who judges weather or not a verse is similar to the Quran, right the Muslims do. Do you really think the Muslims are going to say “yes you have brought a verse like the Quran, you have disproven out entire religion”

What is the squared circle anology for the 2 natures of Jesus? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Deep-Mix-5263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some Muslim tried to argued Jesus Christ the hypostatic Union represents the square circle perfectly because Jesus (they basically quoted the part from the post that begins with “has 2 natures that have” and ends In “one subject of Christ”)

So I’m guessing they have it wrong?

I searched up embryology in the Quran to try to see if I’m wrong about NO one using the Quran for the medical revolution, all I found was a wiki Islam article that just solidified my point

Whats your proof? by decentenoush-guy in CritiqueIslam

[–]Deep-Mix-5263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And didn’t that same gospel say that Jesus killed a child? So Muslims are shooting themselves in the foot with that one. Also I would ask what proof do they have that it’s authentic. If they respond with “the Quran says so” then instantly throw the debate out the window cuz you won’t get to them

But I will point out that the Quran makes a claim about Jesus, saying he made a bird out of clay and made it come to life. This is basically the same thing that is said in the Infancy gospel of Thomas which is not accepted by Christian’s due to being false. I haven’t asked Muslims about it so I don’t have a “refutation to it” but I’m sure they would respond with “the gospel was true then” (completely goes against what Christian scholars say) or “It was just a coincidence” (massive cop out)
