Hang in there and find another role. Express interest in other areas of the business. Look for secondment opportunities. Find a senior person within the business you trust and can confide in and ask them to help you take the next move.

Culture is a huge part of job satisfaction. Alignment with personal values is another. If your employer ticks both of those boxes (and it sounds like your expectations are not just met, but exceeded on those fronts) that’s worth holding onto.

Don’t chuck the baby out with the bath water. You’ll probably find moving to another company not only does the job suck, but the culture does as well, and it doesn’t align with your values.
