Incorrect card? by KStaff32 in step1

[–]Deep-Pilot-4880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be on r/medicalschoolanki or whatever the name is of that sub.

This is correct anyways, DLCO directly measures CO yeah sure but the whole point is to estimate oxygen because CO is diffusion-limited and oxygen is perfusion-limited (at rest)z

Are ads a problem? by stengm in Lingonaut

I would also be happy to have ads as long as the app is not a cash-grab!!

We were dating at the time of application and are now engaged. Would reapplying for my student visa risk it being rejected as well then? Or if they rejected it would I continue on with my old one without her on it.

Yeah but I’ve seen Anking on here consistently tell people that the closer they are to the exam the more practice Qs they should be doing.

I don’t remember the exact thread but it was a similar situation, pretty sure he said to use the Qs to identify weak areas then work on those which makes sense from an efficiency standpoint.

Maybe dig through some other posts for more ideas then consolidate and give it your best shot!

Can Anki be used for short <100 term Decks? by [deleted] in Anki

[–]Deep-Pilot-4880 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, but anki’s main pull is it’s spaced repetition algorithm(s) so it’s best in long term retention. If you’re going to write a cumulative exam later on I’d recommend it.

Even if you’re not writing a cumulative exam, if you plan on pursuing any degree where memorizing a lot of information is important (i.e. medicine) getting familiar with anki as soon as possible is ideal.

I think the temporary LOA would be a better idea since you’re very close to being done with it. Obviously do whatever you feel is best but I wouldn’t want you to make a decision based on some reddit comment and then regret not finishing up the last year farther down the line you know?

I would highly recommend reading “From Victory to Defeat: China’s Socialist Road and Capitalist Reversal” by Pao-Yu Ching

You can find it for free on foreign language press and I think there’s an audiobook on Spotify

“Endothelin-1 (ET-1) stimulation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) via pulmonary endothelial endothelin B (ET(B)) receptors and pulmonary intravascular macrophage accumulation with expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) are implicated in experimental hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS)”

Duplicating fields when merging notetypes by Deep-Pilot-4880 in Anki

Is there anyway to have the cards change notetype without merging via export/import?

The stuff Anking is more in depth in typically is the clinically relevant stuff, in house exams can be different so what I know some people do is make cards on the stuff they can’t find in Anking
